Only three blocks from the zocalo at the center of Oaxaca, this hotel is a charming place to stay. Many of its rooms have a small kitchenette which allowed us the opportunity to prepare simple meals, coffee, tea, etc. without having to go out to a restaruant (although there are numerous fine restaruants within close walking distance). The rooms are...

In February 2011, we spent three wonderful weeks in the UNESCO Heritage city of Oaxaca, Mexico at the “Hotel Casa Pereyra”, a colonial house dating back to the 1800s. Contrary to what one sees on websites of other places, the website pictures of Casa Pereyra are exactly what you will find, and better. The only thing missing in these pictures...

After a few hiccups with making the reservation, staying here could not have been more pleasant. The rooms were clean, neat and tidy while Patricia, who runs the place, was helpful and very accommodating. I stayed with family but would also recommend it for couples or even a small group of friends.

My daughter and I stayed at Casa Pereyra for 12 nights and only have good things to say. We stayed ini Studio 3 and put in two beds. We had a kitchenette which we really liked having so we could have light snacks. The shower was great, and Sophia kept the room spotless. Patricia, the owner, was very helpful and...

We stayed in the lovely #3 studio, that's good for a couple. We came because we looked for some nice place, not a noisy hostel, that has a kitchen to cook all this lovely Oaxacan produce while in town. The shower was finally hot and good (hard to find in this parts of Mexico), and the room was equipped with...

Staying at Casa Pereya was a delightful experience. We stayed in Studio 3- the best room in the hotel for a month. The space was well organized, well ventilated and very cozy yet spacious. The room was bright as there were skylights as well as a long kitchen window and the double doors that opened wide during the day. When...

.... if you want a comfortable, cosy place to stay just two minutes from the Zocalo. We stayed in the cheapest rooms and were very pleased with our chioce. The rooms had everything we needed for an enjoyable four day stay in Oaxaca. Great host (even though we had trouble communicating!) and value for money. We had a quick peek...

A great, away from it all, in just a FEW SHORT blocks from the zocalo. Inexpensive and charming. Patricia & staff are wonderful. Clean and the Kitchen was a big asset. Don't miss it for the quiet neighborhood and ease to central city. Just simply lovely. Patricia & Robert Croghan, N.Y.

On a Pleasure trip to Oaxaca over Christmas 2008/ New Years 2009 we stayed ast Casa Pereyra for 11 days. The location was excellent, pretty close to the center of Oaxaca City, 3 blocks from the Xocolo. The problem we had was with the actual room. While it did have a television, we only were able to get 5 channels...

Ok, so I was looking for hotels near downtown, and I found tons of them, but most of them hostels and motels, or obviously some very nice very expensive hotels... Then I found this little hotel on a webpage (don't remember which one) and let me tell you, it's a jewel. The hotel is 4 blocks from the city centre...
