Nice location very comfortable. Buy your water across the street in little market as well as ground coffee for coffee maker. Staff was very helpful, and convenient with restaurant at front. Extended our stay here as the price was great with good comfortable beds, and air conditioning.

We spent Thanksgiving holiday at this great little hotel two blocks from the Zocalo and the heart of Oaxaca city. The service was excellent and helpful, arranging our trip from the airport, a great driver/tour guide (Antonio Garcia), taxis, and numerous helpful hints. Even though located on a busy street, the rooms were quiet, clean and large. We purchased breakfast... More

Beautiful Hotel with great service as soon as you walking in. They made us feel right at home. The people that work there are very nice and very helpful. The hotel is very clean, colorful and with a great view of the city. It's a block away from the Zocalo and from many great restaurants. I recommend you book this... More

I stayed at Parador San Miguel for 10 nights in November it was absolutely perfect. The common spaces and rooms are beautiful with lovely little details everywhere. The entire place is immaculately clean and the on premises restaurant was super convenient but also really delicious-we ate many meals there. I'd say the best part about this hotel is the staff... Attractive hotel with leafy courtyard filled with colourful birdcages complete with singing birds. The friendly restaurant served meals here if required. Our king room was large and comfortable. Staff were all really excellent, nice terraces to relax on, and it is right in the centre close to everything. We would stay here again most certainly!

A wave of beautifully restored old colonial houses converted into boutique hotels full of flair and charm is breaking over Oaxaca - this hotel is not one of them. While it is squeaky clean and offers all the amenities, the decor is dark and feels tired. Rooms are small, stuffed with dark wood and wrought iron furniture, small art hangs... More

We just returned from sending two weeks on Oaxaca. We stayed in this hotel last year and were happy to return again this year. The hotel staff is gracious, friendly, and very helpful with just about anything you need. We arrived late on a Saturday evening, and the hotel was able to exchange a small amount of money for us... I loved this hotel. It was comfortable, and beautifully decorated with flowers, plants, ornaments, and birds in cages. The rooms contained more than we could have hoped for - they must have been recently renovated because there were plenty of outlets - and even USB outlets! It's just a short walk (5 min) to the zócalo or to the main... More

This hotel had been booked for us by Llama Travel as part of our tour of archaeological sites in Mexico. It looks a little unpromising from the outside but once inside you can appreciate the style of the building and the fittings and furnishings which make this a great place to stay. The bedroom is a good size with a... More

When visiting Oaxaca because of my job, I like to stop here at the Parador San Miguel. Its a beautiful place very near from down town and a walking distance from the best restaurantes in place. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
With a privileged location, 20 minutes from the airport. In the historical downtown area, only a half block from the Central Alameda. The beautiful colonial-style building has three floors with 23 rooms, including four suites.Located on one of the main avenues in the city, the facade had a grand entry door of carved cedar, opening to a lovely porch with a statue of St. Michael the Archangel.A wrought iron gate opens to the hotel vestibule, where walls of ochre, terra-cotta, beige and cream combine with dark green ironwork and green granite columns to provide a dramatic backdrop for the brilliant bougainvillea and geraniums that thrive in the home's central patio. From here you can catch a hint of the spellbinding flavors of our Oaxacan kitchen. In "La Cocina" you can choose a magical dish to your specifications.Small gardens lead to the first level rooms. A majestic green granite stairway crowned with glorious stained glass leads to the second and third levels. On the second level terrace, you could relax or sunbathe accompanied by canaries in a kaleidoscope of multicolored flowers. ... more   less
