Were to start... very small rooms, not enough electric outlets, the steam from the shower fills the room with humidity, even you you open the window from the bathroom all day, we went for a trip to Palenque (about 10 hrs back to back trip) and the room was still humid. The staff, very friendly and helpful, there is only...

We stayed in a room with 4 people and were positively surprised by the nice atmosphere of the hotel itself. However, I found the staff at the reception (a woman) rather unhelpful as well. An advertisement offers ordering pizza until 10pm at the reception, when we asked for that at 9.20pm she said it's pretty late already and she doesn't...

We stayed three nights at this hotel partly because they had a promotion of three nights for the price of two – 911 pesos per night. We requested a double on the third floor, room 321 as suggested by friends, in order to use a common sitting area with a view. The sunsets were great. But, we were lucky to...

At the first look: "very nice". But then the problems started. Bathroom really smelled of humidity and canalization. I had the room in the backyard. Not even the open window helped! Night receptionist was a nightmare. A guy. Very unhelpful, unfriendly, plus he didn't know the basic stuff such as what time does the hotel restaurant opens for breakfast... Breakfast...

The first room we were assigned was damp and moldy. The second room was worse. Black Mold was everywhere. The walls wooden doors, I won't attempt to describe the bathroom. I did notice that the rooms off the lobby area had undergone a renovation but they appeared to be empty. We booked on expedia and maybe this is the room...

Traveling on a budget can be daunting but we found the Hotel Jardines del Centro to be clean, comfortable and conveniently located in San Cristobal. The staff is helpful. Rooms are cleaned daily, and they provide bottled water. No heat in winter so it's chilly but plenty of hot water. Free wifi available in the rooms. For an additional charge,...

My family and I decided to go to San Cristobal on a long weekend at the very last minute. That meant all the hotels we tried first were fully booked. Through a travel agency we found availability in Jardines del Centro, which was a relief! Location is privileged: only one block away from the main square and a 15 minute...

Hotel staff were nice but rooms reeked of dampness, not sure if this is to do with the climate as other with our group in different hotels had similar issue. BUT they took our reservation on credit card, charging for one day, then when we were there charged us for our full stay including this day again! And if you...

HOTEL ADVERTISES AS FOUR STAR HOTEL BUT IS OFFICIALLY LISTED WITH TOURIST BUREAU AS A 3 STAR. -room infested with mosquitoes (probably caused by the damp climate and garden in the lobby). spent the first 30 min trying to kill the bugs. - there was no hot water to shower (bad since the climate was damp and cold) We reported...

The hotel has a beautiful, well-tended tropical garden setting on the ground floor, with several open spacious sitting areas. Our reservation was in place when we arrived. Our room, although small, was clean, as was the bathroom. Hot water was good and hot. San Cristobal can get very cold at night, but there was no heating in the room, so...
