Don't be deterred by the location north of centro near the Santo Domingo convent and market. We have just spent 9 days here, in apartment #4, and it was perfect. It's an easy stroll down to centro, or an inexpensive cab ride. From the ADO station on the far south of town, it will cost 30 pesos in a cab....

I stayed for a comparatively short time - and will for sure consider returning for a longer stay the next time I'm in San Cristobal. This even though I've rated Kukurutz as a "4" rather than the "5" that's the general consensus among Tripadvisor folks. I stayed in #8, Balam, possibly one of the smaller apartments on the ground floor...

This place was awesome. I had seen it on Booking and it looked great, but the first night we stayed in a hostel in town, noisy. We moved the next day to Kukurutz and I didn't want to leave. After traveling for 16 months, this felt like a home. A huge kitchen with everything we needed to cook, a separate...

The price was great, and the rooms were large and pleasant. We were upstairs, which is to be highly recommended, as the downstairs suites seem to be cold and a bit gloomy. The kitchen was adequately provisioned. Our bathroom actually had a tub, though I don't know whether the others did. I would recommend brighter lights, and more of them,...

We stayed at Kukurutz twice for a total of 3 months. The location is fantastic, only two blocks from a main street that leads to the market and zocalo, and the monthly price can't be beat. Each apartment has a decent size kitchen, comfortable seating arrangements and very comfortable beds. There is daily housekeeping service and they do a full...

We booked late in the year therefor we couldn't stay here consecutively more than one night. Accommodations for four were great, we got an apartment with a full terrace, kitchen and living room, it was amazing! Their small garden is beautifully arranged with a goldfish pond and relaxing spaces. They offer laundry service, I believe, but we weren't around long...

I came to San Cristobal for a short stay on my way North. I am a perpetual traveler. A friend said Kukurutz was nice so I checked it out and ended up staying over a month. I stayed in several of their apartments/rooms and was absolutely delighted with the place. Beautiful grounds, views of surrounding mountains from the property. 2...

Kukurutz Residence with "Botero" like sculptures our apartment with fully equipped kitchen had a relaxing dining and lounge area. The bedroom was airy, the bed comfortable and the bathroom clean and inviting. Its only negative points is to be off the beaten track for restaurants and main town attractions., no breakfast (we bought our own coffee etc)or restaurants but a...

Good price and good service. Our room was huge and clean. It included a living room and a kitchen. We were there for 5 days and it was perfect. At night was quiet and we slept really good.

A dream place to stay; the villas are a great size (full kitchen, dining table that seats x4, seperate lounge area, big bedroom. It´s thoughtfully decorated, was quiet & comfy, each villa has it´s own sun-deck plus there´s an amazing, private garden to enjoy (complete with fish pond). It´s a short walk to town/the markets and the full kitchen means...
