This is my go to Hotel when visiting Veracruz city, which can be 3 weekend a month. The price is great, the room was clean, a great location. In fact for my self, it is the perfect location. Some people complained about the noise but I live on a main street, 4 block from downtown, sleep with the windows open.... More

Veracruz is a working port city, and the highlight of our great stay in Veracruz was not the place itself, but the bands, music and dance we found each night in the zocalo. The Hotel Oriente is one block east of the zocalo, and was in an ideal location to take advantage of the cultural offerings in the zocalo each... More

If you are looking for budget hotel in Veracruz near to every business place like port, cargo company offices and so you are in the right place. Also in one step from bars and restaurants and Zocalo. The hotel is old and the rooms are very tired but not bad. The location and private parking worth the money you are... More

I mean it is not a luxury hotel but for a young traveler is it a good change to the regular hostels. The rooms are big and clean and the cleaning ladies are super nice. I would come again. The Internet is super fast and works 24/7.

Unlike most reviewers, I didn’t have much of a problem with my stay at this hotel. It’s pretty well-located and I certainly never had issues with noise (even though I had a room facing the main street and the promenade) or the wifi (which was very strong). I made a reservation on booking.com at the cost of 32 USD plus... More

After staying at some great places in Mexico, we found veracruz and this hotel a bit disappointing. It was an OK place to lay your head, but it didn't seem to excel at anything. Sheets were clean but stained. The shower dripped out a paltry stream of water. The towels were so old and over bleached that you could cut... More

Easy access to zocolo and many sights. Very large room with a small balcony. Wifi was good but we had the main router just outside our room, 222. Small restaraunt had excellent breakfast. Staff could not have been better.

A nice hotel located close to the Zocolo. I stayed in a king room in the new section of the hotel. The room was without a view, i.e. the window opened into the interior hotel "column". Some people may not care for an interior room but it does cut down on the street noise. Room appointed in a fairly basic... More

I visit Veracruz often but my first experience with this hotel. And, for the most part, a good experience. My room was one of their king rooms in the new section. Basic furniture but all very clean and well maintained. The advertised balcony is really just a small area with enough room to step out. TV was good but I... More

I enjoyed the location, the friendly staff (only one English speaker), and the comfort of my room. I stayed here one week to enjoy the vibe of the centro historic area in Veracruz. “Be careful with this. I was in the new section which is on the side facing the port, and only some traffic noise but I was on an upper floor. The rooms on the front could be extremely noisy due to proximity to the main square and often loud events held there as well as heavy bus traffic.”

“Although the rooms in the facade have a beautiful view to the park/plaza, better to choose a room somewhere interior as the traffic noise is there with a bus-stop. Check if the aircon in your room works before taking the room.”
