If you go to the Grand please stop by the Library and say hello to these amazing people. They always went above and beyond! We came back just for them! J Luis, Pita, Marisol, Antonio, Raquel, and Ana are awesome and we cannot wait to come back to see them ! If you go over to Sunrise go say hey to Olivia. We met her at the Grand but she moved back to Sunrise! She is amazing and like family to us. She goes above and beyond and is so sweet. Omar our concierge was so helpful! Every time we saw him in the lobby even just walking by he made sure to stop and say hey and make sure there was nothing we needed. These amazing employees are the ones who make it where we want to keep coming back. Everyone we met here was amazing and went above and beyond! We will surely miss them until the next visit !

This was our third trip to the Grand since they built the new section(we have been members for 18 yrs). We were a family of 3 with our daughter being 12. The best improvement I noticed was the smoking areas. It was so nice to not have to be polluted with cigarette smoke at the beach and at the outside eating areas . The resort is spotless it was always extremely clean but they take the covid precautions very seriously. The food is top notch we never had a bad meal the whole week. Los Tacos has the best tacos and our server Sandra was great. Our favorite restaurant was Jade we had dinner there twice. Pedro and his assistant Daniel were amazing. Pedro gave us great recommendations and we loved all of them. Gaspar at the beach was the best server he was funny and very interactive keeping our drinks full before we ever even asked. La Cantina was the best Mexican food I’ve ever had and our waiter Jesus C. made our experience great. The water park is nice our daughter loved the surfing. Pools are all nice and clean only problem we had was two rude families with their screaming children crashed right next to us even though the pool had plenty of space they were completely rude and we left the pool. The beach is the cleanest it’s ever been they have some sort of barrier up to help control the seaweed. We swam in the ocean a lot. The room was clean and comfortable only complaint is the two bed are full size not queen size. We went on a snorkel trip through the outfit at sunrise I highly recommend. You get on the boat right at the resort go to the reef snorkel then come right back. Spa was excellent as usual can’t wait to go back.

Alberto at the Unique Day Club was amazing. He was very attentive and personable. We told him we were here for a wedding and a friends anniversary and he helped us celebrate with shots and delicious drinks. Highly recommend. Thank you Alberto for making our friends last day amazing.

I would like to preface my review in that we have been Palace Resort Members for over 20 years starting in 1999 before we had children. Our family has grown up through this system much like everyone has grown up through the Disney hospitality system. We have had a different experience each time our family travelled to the palace resorts. Never had we left this hotel feeling that we received subpar service, food or amenities. With that in mind I would like to say that this years experience at the Grand Moon Palace was one of the best in the past 20 years. With the pandemic and decreased travelers many hotels have reduced their services and amenities. We felt that the Grand Moon Palace really upped their game and made every effort to make sure that we never felt that we weren’t getting our moneys worth. Our children are 20 and 21 years old and considered adults throughout the system. Being at the Grand Moon palace allowed us to easily participate with them as adults since the age of 18 but their maturity and the palace system really allows families to connect during the entire stay. For example we could sit at the bar with our kids and enjoy the constant influx of musicians from classical pianists to latin Trios to vocalists which was such as lovely background complement. The bartenders at the Grand Moon were amazing especially Julian at the Main Lobby bar who crafted special drinks not on the menu. I ordered a shot of top shelf 15 year Macallan Whiskey (with resort credits) and enjoyed it so much that the bartender offered another glass of 12 year Whiskey without further charge. The efforts to make your experience at the Palace resort was prominently evident throughout our stay from the welcoming staff to the transportation staff and the drivers of the golf carts and staff at every level. There was rarely a moment when a staff didn’t wish you a good morning or evening. The hibachi experience at Momo at the Sunrise side of the Moon palace was the most amazing demonstration of visual Japanese hibachi I have ever seen with the spinning of the utensils and moving of the food with such entertaining artistic mastery. Our chef Roberto was amazing adding effects upon effects with such humor and positive energy. We were impressed even after experiencing so many such dinners in our lifetime. They also provided almost too much food for us including seafood and beef to satisfy our hunger. We even felt guilty receiving so much food but again we felt that they never wanted us to feel nickeled and dimed for every little amenity. One of the events we purchased was the wine tasting. Our sommelier and host Mr. Jorge Diaz was amazing pairing white and red wines from France, Mexico, USA and Italy with small plates of Duck, Lamb Chops and Beef short rib as well as oysters. Not only was this experience so worth the time and money but Palace resorts has priced over 200 wines to be slightly over cost to recoup their expenses without much markup. For Oenophiles this is a huge benefit. If you are not particular about your wine there are plenty of house wine selections for you. But for those of us who appreciate a good bottle of wine there are many great options at a very reasonable cost. Thank you Palace resorts for making such a move. I plan to be buying more wine in the future. However even if you don’t purchase any special dinners or experiences your daily mundane breakfasts at the Grand Buffet is filled with service perks that you wouldn’t even receive at the Four Seasons resort or Ritz Carlton hotels. We have always enjoyed the spa at the Grand Moon but this time we opted for the Kukakan Massage which was an amazing culturally spiritual experience incorporating the significance of the eagle, snake and panther animals into this 80 minute massage performed by 2 masseuse individuals at once. If you have never experienced this amazing massage, you may consider it in the future. You wont be the same afterwards. My two masseuses Vanessa and Hilda were some of the best combining deep tissue massage with holistic techniques. Again I can’t wait to go back. Life is filled with many opportunities and choices but some of the best investments in my opinion are the experiences we create with our family and friends. The palace resorts may have just the perfect formula to help foster the most amazing family and couple experiences in your life and without making you feel that you just made a decision you would regret. We have always believed in their hospitality system and in 2021 their leadership is willing to blow your mind away with how much higher they have upped the bar to the service industry.
