Had a fantastic stay at this moderately sized hotel.
First time in Cancun and it didn’t disappoint.
Highlight was the amazingly welcoming, courteous and friendly staff. Loved every staff member, they were incredibly accommodating and attentive.
Please make sure that you tip them if u can spare a few bucks as it really goes a long way.
The pools were great with waiters coming to check in on you for drinks regularly.
Good selection of restaurants. Olios had some great fine dining 5 course menu options. Satsu, the Asian restaurant offered a wide selection with a teppanyaki station - great fun.
Breakfast had a a wide selection of buffet options as well as a fruit and omelette station.
They also offer 24 hour room service in case you don’t fancy leaving your room. Mini bar is always restocked daily.
The coffee shop was 7am till 10pm, serving hot drinks and desserts which was very welcomed.
Rooms also have an outdoor jacuzzi on the balcony which was a nice touch.
Rooms were very spacious with his and her sinks in the bathroom and a king size memory foam bed which was incredibly comfortable.
WiFi signal was strong throughout the resort.
Lots of activities to keep you busy throughout the day. Pool yoga and beach volleyball were great fun.
The gym was also of a good standard and had all the necessary equipment.
Only 2 gripes were that the location was around 25 mins away from Cancun and the rest of the hotel zone, which might not be a bad thing for everyone looking for some escape. It was only a short drive from the airport, but not too close that you’d see the planes or be bothered by the noise.
Perhaps a shuttle service might beneficial, even a service running to Cancun centre one the hour as cabs can cost $35 each way to get there otherwise.
The other small issue was that although the beach was nice, the sea littered with seaweed and debris, which isn’t the hotels fault but not ideal if you fancy a swim in the sea or want to view some marine life.
The great pools make up for this though.
In summary - great hotel, amazing staff and very high quality facilities especially for the price point. Would recommend for those looking for a chilled getaway with some peace away from the hustle of the hotel zone.

I would have rated this hotel 5 stars except for two things; the housekeeping and the restaurants.

The hotel itself is very nice and the rooms are big and comfortable. The location is also good with its own beach but during our stay we couldn’t really use it as the strong wind and waves not ideal for swimming. But there are a couple of nice pools you can use. Most of the staff are also good and can’t do enough to help you. However, some waiters are nicer and more attentive after you tip them. We stayed in the Serenity Club which costs more but is worthy because you get ocean front position, the use of the club lounge and can make restaurants reservations. It also comes with butler service and proves to be useful as I will explain later when dealing with housekeeping.

The food in the restaurants are generally good standard but the problem is there aren’t enough of them. There are only three restaurants for dinner with the fourth one only opening if there isn’t a function. I have stayed in many 5 stars all inclusive resorts and they usually have 7 to 8 restaurants open for dinner. If you don’t make a reservation well in advance you usually have to wait until after 9pm to get a table here. That said; the food, the drinks and service are good quality.

The one thing that really let this hotel down is housekeeping. The standard varies from day to day. One day I returned to my room finding no hand or face towels and also no tissue. They also removed all the spoons and left no coffee or teabags. The floor looks like they have not been cleaned after day one. The glass enclosure in the balcony has not been cleaned once since we were there and were dusty and dirty by the time we left. The bins are not always empty and the shower gel we have to ask several times to replace. When I called housekeeping to complain, they said they will sort it out but nothing happens. However, when I report it to Serenity they sorted it out immediately. For a 5 stars hotel, I should not have to complain to get proper housekeeping. That said, our butler Christian and Serenity Club staff are all helpful and friendly.

This is a nice hotel and should be highly recommended if only they add a couple more restaurants and sort out housekeeping.

We just happened to find this property on Travelocity when deciding on a last minute trip over Christmas. I have always been a little leery of all inclusive hotels as they can be average at best for the most part, unless you book a proven high priced one.
Looking at the photos and seeing the property was more isolated out of the Cancun hotel zone south of the city, and barely a 15 minute ride from airport, along with the fact the property was just over a year old and have favorable reviews, we booked it.
We had a little issue when we checked it but that was mainly my fault but they were accommodating and we settles in quickly. the rooms are modern and clean. They are large with huge showers and a private jacuzzi on the deck with an ocean view.
The food at all of the restaurants exceeded our expectations, from the breakfast buffet at flavors to all of the restaurants on the property. One note to guys, you MUST wear closed to shoes to all restaurants at night for dinner, and long pants to Olios.
The staff was always friendly and wiling to help and had a smile. The grounds were beautiful and staff was always cleaning up and not allowing the first bit if trash on the ground, and polishing windows.
There are 2 pools at the property, round pool and long pool. We stayed around the round pool when we weren't on the beach because it was more calm and less noisy. Long pool plays music and has some activities and has a crowd in the pool around the swim up bar.
Service on the beach and by the pools was great and they were always willing to bring us whatever we wanted. It is all inclusive but the staff works on tips and we we happy to always do our part. Make sure to take plenty of 1's 5's and 10's for tips, it was well worth it.
If you want to get away to a couples/adults only place that has a more calm atmosphere but with options for a few bars along with water sports, gym and yoga, then this is the place for you.

If your booking this hotel then I’d advise you to think twice before you do so. Overall resort looks beautiful and stuff is very friendly but that's about it. The only other thing we liked was our massages, was definitely worth the money. Besides that everything else is really basic. We definitely wish we had booked a different resort.
Our room had mold in the shower when we went to the reception and requested to speak with the manager regarding switching our room we were given a run around to come in at different times during the day and at the end we got a different room but still no manager. The other room we got shower door wouldn't close all the way so the water would leak but we didn't want to waste anymore time to switch the room since bell boys never showed up to move our luggage when we were moving the first time so we just had to deal with it.
Wait for the restaurants was always about an hour since they only had 3 of them and you cannot make reservations unless you pay upgrade to "serenity"club. Food in the restaurants was pretty good, but buffet options were really limited and repetitive. Room service would take about an hour to get and half of the options weren't available.
As I mentioned before staff is nice but very slow, to get a drink at the bar on the 2nd floor by the restaurants could take up to 40 min. Honestly I have stayed at different resorts and I have never heard so many rules and "No" at all inclusive resorts.
Would never go back and not recommend it to anyone unless all you care is a beautiful resort from outside.

I had visited Haven Resort &Spa around 7 days in February/March 2021 with a short break between the first 3 and the other 4 days to visit the island Cozumel.
My girlfirend and I, we were impressed about the resort environment in ALL aspects!!
On the top of our mind is the beautiful resorts itself with the beautiful and modern resort complex, the generously rooms and the large, nice and clean pools. The entertainment staff (Jair and Paola) provide you sport lessons in the large square pools on a daily base to keep you in shape and later in the night Yair is also your host in the moons bar/club. We were twice in the moons and we still have his sympatic way in regards of entertainemnt in our mind!

Our favorit place during the day was the nice beach with its beach lounges which provide privacy and good sun protection, as we both like to swim in the clean sea water with the small waves. The day goes by in flight at the beach with a nice cocktail in your hand and reading your favorit book. The sand is soft/small-grained and clean; somethimes there was a bit seagrass (they really take a huge daily effort to remove it it).
In the evening or nights, you could enyoy the silent place around the round large pool or you enjoy the time at the other large pools with DJ sound and a great cocktail.
And for sure, all the restraurants. I had never seen such a great food quality in a all inclusive resort!
I was a bit concerned about the “all inclusive” approach and lunch buffet (restaurant Vora Mar), but no worries, the food was on top quality and the food selection was versatile. Never saw such a great buffet in a all-inclusive resort.
And what is also important the staff was super friendly and suportiv in any aspect all the time A special thanks goes to Marilo and Ely.
The from us selected and favorit dinner restaurant was often the Olio. This is an a la card restaurant (dont forget to reserve you in advance). You get there top meat, fish or lamb and salads. The menu is small, but the food quality is impressive, all fresh prepared. What you should also not miss to visit is the Satsu restaurant, there you can get a seat in the fron of the chef preparing teppanyaki!
The resort was not occupied with a lot of guest, probably less than half. We assume that was due the Covid pandemic situation.
The resort location only 20min away from the Cancun Airport, which give you even more holiday time.
Regarding Covid, we felt us all the time safe, the staff is wearing mask all the time and in every place, guests are requested to wear mask when the are walking inside of the building.
Is there a down side? Yes, the champagnes and wines, which were not included in the all-inclusive packages are overpriced.
I am more than sure, this is one of the best spots in the world to enjoy your holiday. Dont wait to visit this resort!

In October 2020, I stayed at this resort for my wedding anniversary for six days. During check-in, our temperatures were taken. I was happy to see the Haven taking extra steps to make sure their guests did not have the coronavirus. Furthermore, masks were worn by all resort staff and hand sanitizer was readily available. The resort was not full of other tourists, which was fantastic. We ended up staying in the romance junior suite with partial ocean view. The room was decorated for our anniversary and included champagne, chocolate covered strawberries and rose petals. I was impressed with how modern the room was. Some highlights were the beautiful view, spacious bathroom with his/her sinks and room size. Furthermore, this resort does not have do not disturb tags and instead uses an electronic do not disturb system. Nice! Some room complaints include the TV that was decent but not great picture quality. Also, the handheld steam iron was cheap, and I missed not having an ironing board. The room service was great with food arriving within thirty minutes. I recommend the steak tacos, which were awesome! During our visit, the room was cleaned twice a day. I loved that WIFI was available with the signal remaining strong everywhere. At the resort, there are two nice-sized pools and a beach area. They're both well kept. We found plenty of beach chairs/beds, towels and waiters ready to take orders for our drinks. I 'd rate the food at 7 out of 10. It is important to note that restaurants do not have paper menus and instead you scan barcodes to view menus on your phone. With a decent range of options, the breakfast and lunch buffets were great. My favorite restaurant for dinner was Satsu, which is an Asian Fusion restaurant. The food was exceptional and I recommend it. Agua Bendita was the biggest disappointment, having very tiny portions and bland food. The waiters were, for the most part, attentive and the service was fantastic. The drinks at the resort were good with my favorite bar being Limes, which has a nice decor and great bartenders. The resort had a decent amount of entertainment including karaoke and mixology classes. Overall , I really enjoyed the Haven and would recommend to others.

Loved our Partial Ocean View Swim Out room. Room was spacious and on the quiet side of the resort. A lot of pool space and chairs for everyone. We were greeted with lemonade with rosemary and mint. The valet was informative and friendly. Room was very clean and well stocked. We loved the bluetooth in the shower and the option to digitally request Do Not Disturb or Housekeeping. Gym was tidy and fresh fruit was available when working out. The breakfasts in the Buffet were always wonderful. The dinners were a bit small at each restaurant but you could order more if necessary. Nightly entertainment was great. The pools and grounds were constantly maintained to keep everything looking lovely and lush. We really appreciated the quiet relaxation we had at this resort. We will definitely return!

Overall we loved the resort; with a few small changes it could be phenomenal. It is only 20 minutes from the Airport; we were greeted with a welcome drink and a free ocean front upgrade upon check . We used the Bluetooth in the bathroom daily and Netflix on the TV. The two person tub on the balcony takes 15-20 mins to fill up; towels, bubble bath and bath salts are all provided as well as in room bathrobes. A small couch needs to be added to the patio, there are 2 chairs and a table. Adding the couch would be more comfortable to lounge with a drink. We had an issue with the phone in room and it was fixed quickly. Our biggest issue with the room was the tiny bugs in the bathrooms sinks and on the counter. We had to wipe the sinks and counter regularly. We were with 3 other couples and it was not an issue for their rooms. In hind sight I should have advised the front desk immediately. The pools are beautiful, lots of loungers and Bali beds available. The pool bars only open at 11am not 10am as indicated on the restaurant paper. Service at the pool was good. The number of servers around the pool could be increased due to some inconsistency in receiving our drinks. The towel bins are not marked and that is something that can be easily corrected. The towels are in a big “trash” bin located around the pool. Flavours the buffet was good, the breakfast sausages, potatoes, bacon are located on the omelette station and it makes it awkward to reach around someone waiting for their eggs.

Not sure why there are so many negative reviews - it was wonderful! My husband and I visited Haven January/February for our honeymoon and could not have enough great things to say! It was a beautiful resort, had great service and amenities, and we really enjoyed the food/drinks!

We stayed in a Junior Suite Oceanfront room - with Serenity Club. I would definitely recommend booking with this higher end amenity. With Serenity Club, we were able to make reservations at all of the sit down restuarants, request top shelf liquor (which we never had a problem with requesting), received a free round of golf at the El Tinto Golf Course (we were responsible for green fees, transportation, and any rentals), and received complimentary hydrotherapy at the resort spa.

The service was amazing too! Staff was always checking in on us, asking if we needed anything, and making sure our room was up to our standards. We were so impressed with Eduardo, who worked around the pool - so friendly and helpful! Also, LOVED Maria, who we saw in both Moon's and Limes Bar!

Overall, we were very impressed with this resort and would recommend it to anyone!

My wife and I stayed at Haven Riviera for the second part of our honeymoon in Cancun. It is a beautiful resort in a quiet area just north of the city. The hotel was running at 30% capacity due to Covid but the staff worked hard to make it an enjoyable experience, even with limited guests.

The check in process was friendly and quick. The Bellman took our temperature and offered us hand sanitizer upon arrival which was a comforting gesture. After check in he provided us with a tour of the resort and brought our bags to our rooms which were cleaned and sealed (we unfortunately did not get his name, but he was a lighter skinned guy with curly hair. Awesome employee!).

The food at the Mexican steak house, Olios, was some of the best food that I had in Cancun. There was also an Asian themed restaurant and buffet. I would recommend upgrading to the serenity package which includes upgraded drink options and breakfast at the Vista restaurant. The food at Vista was always great and the service from our waiter Omar was superb. It is also more quiet and spaced out than the breakfast buffet in these socially distant times.

The pool at the resort is one of the nicest that I have ever seen. It is designed to look like a beach, equipped with palm trees and all. There is also a private beach on the property as well if you prefer the real thing. The spa at Haven is also a very nice experience. It is a bit pricey but if you are planning to spend your time exclusively on the resort, it is worthwhile. The resort also had plenty of activities planned daily to keep hotel guests entertained.

The rooms were beautiful, equipped with an ocean view and hot tub on the balcony. Since it was our honeymoon, the hotel also surprised us with a bottle of wine and chocolate covered strawberries in our room which was a very kind gesture.

As mentioned in the other reviews, your trip to Haven wouldn’t be complete without visiting Eduardo aka “Lalo”, the mixologist at Limes cocktail bar. He’s a great guy who makes excellent drinks and he will make sure that you leave there happy :).

Overall, our stay at Haven was a welcoming experience in a very crazy year. Thanks to all of the hotel staff for taking good care of us!

My experience was that reservations were needed at the restaurants. And while I have not stayed at excellence, my sister and brother-in-law, who traveled with us had, they said, each had their own strength, they loved the Haven I would definitely be going back.
