It's a beautiful resort with great service, but the food is below average. I booked a 4 night stay with my wife and 2 young children (1 ocean front room-kids under 6) for $3000 (without airfare). For that price i think the food should be above average at least. The sushi was horrible, the buffet was bland and poor.
I stayed at the Hyatt Ziva in Cancun for 5 nights as a wedding guest. This trip and stay was outstanding from the moment I arrived in the shuttle. The staff is exceptional and willing to do whatever it takes to accomodate you. There was so much to do - from the pools, to the ocean, to the dolphin exhibit, you were never bored. I would stay here again if I return to Cancun.
This was a much needed girls trip with my Mom and daughters, and from beginning to end our stay was awesome. We were welcomed when we got out our taxi with, “Welcome Home!” Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We had an oceanfront room, and we enjoyed taking turns in the hammock. We enjoyed looking at the dolphins. The food was great, there was always something available to eat. Great ginger shots. Customer service was phenomenal. We were given great directions to get the ferry. Everyone was helpful, and treated you like they knew you for a long time. We rented a cabana which included a facial. Maya (Alexandro) did our facials. He was awesome. It was by far the best facial I’ve ever had. Our neighbors in the next cabana agreed. Eduardo provided our food and drinks at the cabana and he was also great and funny. The people who we enjoyed talking to, and who took great care of us at breakfast were Danny/Adriana at The Mercado. Everyone else who we didn’t get their names were also great. The shows at night were great. My favorite show was the 80’s show. Thank you to the entire staff at Hyatt Ziva Cancun. We’ll definitely be back.…
We came back after visiting for our Honeymoon and we loved it again! the staff is super friendly and helpful, and the facilities are kept like new which is impressive having visited 5 years ago. Plenty of food options, we tried them all and loved specially The Bastille, Lorenzo, Chevys and the bbq by te main pool. Breakfast at Mercado was really good. The new smoothies at Juana Margarita is a great healthy option to complement breakfast. Marie (turquoise tower) was our butler and she was amazing! Every little thing we asked she resolved very quickly. She also prepare many surprises for us in line with our anniversary celebration . Thanks again Marie. My wife enjoyed a workout session in the pool with Patricia and it was a lot of fun! Also Omar at the beach was very nice and provided great service. And Diego makes great drinks at Punta Vista pool. Thanks! On the not so positive side: diner experience can be better. at busy times it gets really messy and confusing and you may need to wait for some time, specially the Asian restaurant Moongate, where having booked dinner at 830 we actually got our table after 9:00. The food was really good after that. We also booked our transportation from and to the airport through the hotel with their partner (Discova) as it was the safer option in my opinion, and that was definitely the worst part of the experience: when we arrived we were supposed to meet somebody with our name who would take us to the car, but that wasn’t the case. After stumbling around for good 15 minutes while many people board you trying to sell you the taxi service. Thankfully a lady managed to help us and guide us towards the company representative who didn’t have our name on his board. When traveling from the hotel, the driver was late by 10 minutes… luckily we had plenty of time but not great and surely not a service that represent a Hyatt Ziva partner and all the great services and experience the hotel provides We onjoyed are already thinking to go back and we had a great time! …
I would give negative stars if I could. We were mistreated and were told to leave the resort without any reasoning or compassion. We were cooperative and there was nothing we could do...they kicked us out without any valid explanation and without mercy. I read about others experiencing the same thing in recent reviews, so it's not just us. So after dinner one of our friends patted the waiter on the chest and apparently, that was cause for being kicked out. 🤷♂️ They overreacted and told us to leave without giving us a chance to tell our side of the story. It was like they were trying to find any way to kick us out even though we weren't doing anything wrong. DON'T STAY HERE. They'll find any way to steal your money and mistreat you. I expected more from a resort under the Hyatt name.…
