Overall, loved it. Location was wonderful. Pools were fabulous and ocean phenomenal. Employees nicest and kindest of any resort I have been to. Many employees, so no matter what you wanted or needed, someone was close by to assist. What you get for the price is really good. I loved the fact there were many South Americans there and it was not simply a USA vacation spot. Reason for 4 stars instead of 5? 1) tons of food and snacks and the food was edible and some nice, but overall not wonderful. First night we ate at the Koi Chinese restaurant. None of the ten of us wanted to eat there again. Next night was a Mexican buffet that we all liked. The following night we ate at the Italian restaurant and the food was not all that great. The service was wonderful so I took that as more important than the quality of the food. The night after we ate at their Mexican seafood restaurant. Not all that great but certainly edible. The last night we simply ate at the buffet which I personally liked. As a vegetarian I loved the tons of fruit and vegetables they always had available. We all liked the breakfasts and lunches at the buffet. If we took something we did not like, no big deal - we simply went and got something else! 2) we were on the 4th floor at the far end of the building. At least 7 times I could not enter the room because the card was not read by the slot in the door and so would not open. So I would have to go all the way back downstairs and have them make another card for me. It happened to one of our other family members who lived in a building a distance from the foyer so he had to walk in the rain to get another card to enter his room. We saw it happen to someone else one day as we were walking past their room to the elevator. 3) noise. Four of the 5 nights were a nightmare because the people in the room next to us came across so loud, they woke us up every time they entered their room or were awake in their room. Also, the main building we were in(building 3) was close to where they would have loud night entertainment that typically would go on til 11pm. So, if for some reason you wanted to go to sleep at 10 or 10:30, that was not doable. 4) for some reason, water would stop working in various places for a little while. So, a couple of times I went to one of the public restrooms and nearly threw up as others had used the toilets but could not flush (or wash their hands!). But the resort always tries to fix every problem so going back to that same bathroom an hour later is ok. Just would never know what I would see 😩 5) some of the restaurants refused to put tables together if you were a group of more than 6 that wanted to sit together. At the Koi Asian restaurant they made 6 of us sit together and the other 4 sit at another table. Weird…..it is like they do not expect large family gatherings there but just small families. However, the positives of the resort outweigh the problems and so yes, I would go there again but would probably ask for a dozen cards to enter the room and would not stay in building 3 but probably one of the villas or building 6 facing the ocean.…

Staff are kind and helpful. Resort is clean and they also support turtle nests by providing a safe area for them to hatch. Resort has also started a butler service for some of the rooms. Jessica is amazing for helping out during your stay! The ocean is the most beautiful blue, an electric blue. Perfect place where you can relax on resort or easily walk or take a local bus around the hotel zone.

The property is perfect for a relaxing vacation. The construction is a little older, so the walls are very thin, you can hear your neighbors, however most of us do not spend much time in our rooms so that was not too bad. Conversely, when getting my massage at the spa, the noise took away from the atmosphere. The massage was superb, but I could have done without hearing the other doors close and people talking in the waiting area. The all adult swimming pool with the swim-up bar was very nice. I also enjoyed the shows (magic, Caribbean night and the fire show were all really nice) I did not get a chance to try the Asian restaurant, but I had the buffet, the Mexican and seafood restaurant, Italian and Prime (pay extra for Prime $45 or $50 depending on what you get). The buffet is you traditional buffet...nothing special. I did not care for the canned mushrooms used in my omelet at the buffet, but I like that they have someone there to prepare them for you. The Mexican /Seafood restaurant (Flor de Sal) was the best...I ate there multiple times and tried different things. The Italian was okay...the calamari had too much breading and the tiramisu was awful, but my eggplant and goat cheese appetizer was delicious and the shrimp risotto was also very good. Prime restaurant was a lovely atmosphere and my lobster was so fresh and delicious. This was a perfect resort for what I was looking for...relaxing getaway with a little entertainment.…

My husband planned a getaway for us to celebrate our 10th anniversary. The villas were super cute and spacious. The splash pool was awesome. The refrigerator did not work and didn't even close because the door was disconnected. We could not get the room cool at night so neither of us slept in 3 nights there. My husband booked the Butler which was unfortunately a joke. We both read reviews of so many that said the butler was the way to go, but not ours. We rarely saw her. Since there is no bar service at the villa beach cabanas, she was supposed to be my server, but I asked for a drink at 4 and finally at 5 went inside and made my own. There is not a bar close to the villas either so we ended up buying our own liquor and then had to ask multiple times for her to get us mixer sodas. Finally ended up ordering them through room service. If you get a butler make sure it s not Yaychira! We had to stay on her to make sure she got our dinner reservations and massage times. She would forget everything and so we had to asked multiple times until we finally received a confirmation. The food.. The best thing I ate at the resort was the tostado at breakfast. Otherwise, the food selection was lacking. One night we ended up having to order room service (which is also very limited) because there wasn't anything in the Cafe that I could eat due to food allergies. Excellent beach access. Could see ocean right from the bed! Average food and service. Worker quality is very spotty. Some went out of the way to help while many others (especially ones serving the beach) were lazy and non-responsive unless tipped all the time.

Not being able to sleep is very annoying. We traveled with two babies and elder grandparents and were given bedrooms in front of the pool. The shows and loud music took place every night until around midnight, to the point of making babies cranky and our lives miserable. We asked for relocation and were given rooms on the 4th and 6th floors without any improvement. Sorry, but I wouldn't come back or recommend the hotel even though everything else was OK. Good sleep is the bare minimum of conformability a hotel must grant to its guests.

We have stayed at this property three times and love it! The rooms are well taken care of by both maintenance and housekeeping. The service at this hotel is exceleent and we have always appreciated the staff and their level of attention. We will definitely stay at this property again!

This hotel was great. We did want an early check in, called three weeks to request it, they didn’t honor it until my husband got blacked out and demanded a room. Oh well I didn’t care cause let me tell you we needed that room asap. But smooth sailing after that. They do encourage you to prebook every restaraunt visit besides the buffet which is Alrite I guess. You just have to plan your day accordingly. We went to the buffet every morning and we got to book excursions outside the resort with ease. They picked us up and dropped us off. We were just 15 minutes walking from squids row and all the clubs. People do save seats at the pool early and I mean early in the morning so that was kinda annoying but that was the all ages pool. We never made it to the adults only pool because it was on the opposite side of the hotel compared to where our room was but I don’t feel like I missed out. The all you can eat all you can’t drink was awesome. Really great time and lots of bang for your buck!…
