The Hilton Cancun Mar Caribe All-inclusive Resort boasts a vibrant atmosphere, with guests enjoying the lively entertainment and modern decor. The resort's amenities, including the pools, beach, and spa, are highlights, though some guests have encountered room service delays. While the service is generally commended for its friendliness and professionalism, instances of slowness have been noted. Rooms are celebrated for their cleanliness and views, but noise levels and readiness sometimes fall short. The secluded beachfront location offers scenic attractions, but shopping options are limited. Guests are divided on value, citing high costs and dining experiences as detractors, despite the allure of the spa and views.

What a lovely relaxing stay we had here at Royal Uno!

1 negative & 100000 positives…
The only thing that we were disappointed at was how long it took to check in after a 10 hour flight, it took over an hour in a queue to check in so keep this in mind so you are prepared, we did grab a drink from the bar while waiting.
We were then greeted by a lovely lady Mia who spoke about the hotel briefly and she gave us suncream/aftersun/mosquito spay which was a kind gesture.

This hotel is beautiful with very friendly staff and was worth the wait to check in.

Food amazing with so many different options for types of food and restaurants.
Mexican, Italian , main buffet and the Asian food restaurant (which says you need to book but on all 3 of our occasions they squeezed us in when we asked at the desk for the same evening.
Octavio a very friendly guy who let us come here when we asked and gave us the best experience.

The beach is so private with very clear beautiful waters ,we spent most of our time here, waiters/waitresses always around to take your drink order and bring it over to you which was needed with the heat.

Spa comes at a price but worth it for the jungle style spa facilities and plenty of products in the changing room to freshen yourself up and keep you clean like mouth wash, body creams , herbal tea , earbuds , deodorant , razor , shaving foam.
I had the most amazing Vitamin C facial treatment which again was worth it for the price.
Very friendly staff at the spa!

Fresh towels by the beach and pool daily which was nice and cleaners in the room provided fresh towels and fresh bedding daily also.

Sun-beds everywhere even at a busy resort,
You can go down at any time and find yourself a nice sunbed in the sun.

Key cards to your room are attached on your wrist with your all inclusive band so this was very handy as we didn’t have to carry a keycard around in our bag.

I recommend Royal Uno to anyone thinking of staying in Cancun and torn between hotel choices.

Thankyou to all the staff here for making us have such a pleasant stay.

Holly & James

Good stay but some improvements needed to be a 5 star.

We are on our last day here and we have enjoyed it but just a couple of things were lacking.

Be aware that if you have a late flight home you have to check out at 11am and although you can get food and drink until you leave there is no hospitality rooms so no where to have a shower which I find incredibly frustrating when you want to enjoy the last day. We were offered 20 dollars each to use the spa showers or 120 dollars to extend the room if available! Sandals only charge 50 dollars to extend the room time so extremely pricey!

The other let down is the temperature of the food in some restaurants. We really struggled in the Asian one with most of the food going back as too cold to eat. The buffet depends on how long it’s been out for. The heaters clearly not keeping them warm for long enough.fries last night stone cold on the buffet. The food that they cook to order on the other hand is fantastic

The good parts are the Italian restaurant for both breakfast and dinner. Just fantastic!

Some of the staff are a joy and I would have them working for me in a heart beat. Fanny in the buffet restaurant, Sonny in the lobby bar. Wilberth in the buffet. Jennifer and Alan who are servers around the pool and Pedro in the buffet , and Sergio in the lobby bar where all world class.

The rooms are lovely but I would get one with a proper balcony as the others are tiny.

The star bar which is adults only is great if you want to be away from families.

Sea very rough this time of year and red flag all the 10 days we have been here. Rip tides very dangerous

Great stay if the price is right.

Took my 11 year old on vacation here in August 2022 for a week. The hotel is located within 15 minutes of the airport and is only 10 minutes for a great shopping area (La Isla shopping village). Check in was slow and against my better judgement I got talked into a 90 minute presentation which I knew would only be to pressure me to buy some timeshare because they were offering a huge discount on excursions. I didn't end up sitting through it because in all honesty my kid and I wanted to be at the pool and I was glad I didn't another guest shared that the excursions don't allow you to take your own photos because they want you to purchase their photos at a whopping $30 a photo.
The food was so hit or miss. The coffee shop in the lobby had some of the most vile coffee and ice cream I have ever tasted. However I also had some of the best sushi and poke bowls of my life at the buffet and the daily fruit and chips and pico de Gallo were divine.
All their restaurants are not open yet as this is a new resort but the Mexican one on site was delicious as was Captains Cove across the street which is also incredibly beautiful to dine at.
The staff go above and beyond to be helpful although some times you have to call more than once to get toiletries, towels, etc sent to the room.
The pool is enormous and the temperature of a bath tub. We loved swimming in it during the daytime as well as at night. The beach does have a ton of seaweed but I still enjoyed taking walks, watching the waves from my terrace, and swimming in it.
The hotel is extremely clean, which we appreciated. The kids club tends to be for younger children but I convinced my kid to go a couple times and it is a very nice, also very clean facility with a lot of activities.
Overall I do recommend this resort and we really enjoyed our time here.

We just returned from a week at Royal Uno, and overall had a great vacation. The property has been renovated, and offers beautiful rooms/bathrooms/patios. We had paid for a different grade room than the one that was originally assigned (much smaller), and the front desk manager was able to offer some accommodations despite being fully booked, by offering a suite that fit our families’ needs better for a small upgrade fee per night. We were happy to pay it, as the space we got was much bigger. The beach and location of the property are great, however I wish they would clean the sand as we have seen done at other resorts. It was quite packed with spikey seaweed and made it look dirty. The restaurants and poolside staff generally speaking were polite and attentive. A couple of folks that really stood out for us were Hector at the poolside, Octavio the restaurant manager at Aora, and Arturo the director of guest experience who really stepped up after we had a very poor experience checking in.

Now for the not so great parts of our experience. The check in and check out process is atrocious, there are only three desks that perform these duties and it was well below what was needed to manage the incoming crowd a week before Christmas. To our surprise, even for check out we had to go through waiting (on Christmas Day, with our ride waiting!). Some of the staff really lack training in customer service, we had one particularly offensive experience at Aora that blew our minds. Octavio made it right, but it really was the most shocking treatment by one individual/our server. Finally the food and drinks, I’m sad to say it’s really average at best (or even slightly below). No top shelf liquor of any kind, no liquor in the rooms (only beers), really average buffet with super long lines for all meals. The Cafe shelves were empty the entire week and offered no pastry or small bites, if you just wanted a quick breakfast and not wait for the buffet line. The only restaurant that stood out was the Asian/Aora. The Hibachi was super fun and delicious, we went back a different night and ordered off the menu and those were all delicious too. Make sure you reserve all dinners ahead upon arrival. Lastly, the spa was lovely, and Lesier was an excellent masseuse!

Bring your money elsewhere, there are much better resorts for the price. We stayed in a beachfront room which was beautiful and very modern however it was not worth the stay at the resort.

The entire resort is understaffed. The food is medicore and not fresh unless you like hot dogs and french fries. You can’t get a reservation at any restaurant and if you want to sit down to eat be prepared to wait at least an hour.

If you don’t wake up by 7am and go find a chair to put a towel and personal belongings on you won’t find a place to sit for the day.

Entertainment is minimum unless you enjoy bingo and children climbing all over the pool bar ordering milkshakes.

Thank you to Martin serving the guests at the pool. He went above and beyond to find us places to sit and improve our stay. Entertainment staff was amazing as well but activities seemed very limited.

We would much rather prefer any other Royal resort for food and service opposes to Royal Uno!!

The hotel is beautiful! their lobby is very spacious and their bar is big as well. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, pillows could have more cushion and they make sure you get complementary soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner and hair net. They welcome you with a cold, scented towel to help you get refreshed and send you directly with your concierge for check in. Our room was not ready, but they do give you your wristbands that way you can start using their amenities. I love that they offer a kids club. My 2 girls went there at least 3xs of the 6 days we spent there. Meli, Nayeli, Génesis y Melissa are very sweet and kind and my girls loved them. Their restaurants are very pretty as well, we got the chance to have dinner at the Mexican and Italian. the only reason I'm not giving them 5 star review was because of their food and delay in serving you. When we went to the Mexican restaurant it took almost 2 hours to be served completely, the food was delicious, but waiting so long to get it took away from the experience. The food at the Italian restaurant was OK, but service was good. The Food at the Buffet was decent, I proffered the Snack bar for Lunch they can make you a fresh burger if you ask them for it. Over all the stay was pleasant and welcoming and the resort was well kept. I would recommend this resort to a friend.

The stay at Royal Uno was pleasant. When we arrived was busy and took bit of time to get checked in and acknowledged looks like the check in process can be definitely be improved so they don't have many people waiting. We were not offer to upgrade as I can see many people were offered in reviews and as matter of fact we had a beachfront room and didn't get it.( We we'rent gonna complain the day was too exhausting and it was late)
The room was very pleasant big TVs nice decorations lots of drawers to put your clothes in closet was big restrooms were big.
We had double room and one the rooms refrigerator was never restocked and we had to ask a few times to front desk to refill it but kept on failing to do so, looks like hotel is under staff for at least part our stay.
Out room was always clean which was nice and sometimes Jose Luis will come twice a day to clean it( great job Jose Luis thanks)

Food was ok.

The buffet most days was the same food which made kind of boring and very crowded place to be at times ( specifically breakfast) encounter a few times were servers were undee lots of pressure so sometimes service was hit and miss.

A la Carte restaurant.

Asian restaurant.
Make sure when you get there you reserve all your restaurants it gets very busy , specifically the Asian . If you wants Hibachi it's a separate reservation than table seating don't expect to sit on a show the same day or while waiting for your food.
The food definitely can be improved in the Asian restaurant not what I'm used to it( understand it's a resort)

Italian restaurant was great but once again can't complain cause it's a resort had steak.

Palotinte was probably the best restaurant they have we went twice. Had a reservation for 8:30pm which was the best it less crowded and have more attention. Ricardo our server was great and even had a little special drink at the end of night for us ( hands down best treat we've had)
Pool bar is understaff Luis and Romario we're doing their best great job guys but definitely gonna Sneed more attention at the bar since there's only one pool bar at resort which a shame for how busy it's at times.

Shows are great no always had great time.
Bar Besame Mucho was great Isabel and bartender they're probably the best employees they have cause it gets crowded and can handle so many request at the same time with barely any other help. My respects for those 2 employees Isabel was always on top of what people needed as we were almost empty on drinks she always asked if we wanted another round.( Great job Isabel you're awesome thank you for all the attention) .
Overall not bad resort it's hard to me to comeback because I've stayed at other places with better price and way better service. Stay was pleasant I want to say.

This was my girlfriend and I's first time in Cancún and we were definitely not disappointed. Firstly, our flight arrived late at night and we had to wait about 2 hours to get through migration due to the long line. Despite the long wait, Thomas More Travel, the company which the resort booked us for a free transport to the resort, waited for us the whole time. Once arrived at the resort, we were surprised to see people still working at this hour (it was about 2am-3am). We were greeted and were checked in with fast service knowing that we were tired and wanted us to get some rest.

Inside our room was very spacious and comfortable. It was always kept clean and tidy. They would always refill our fridges and change our towels.

The whole resort itself was amazing. The pool was refreshing and fun, the beach was easily accessible, the restaurants and bars were always accommodating and they had amazing offers of excursions through Thomas More Travel!

I would like to shoutout Henry in Os Cucina who took good care of us every time he was working. He became a very good friend of ours as he taught us some Spanish as we taught him some French. Another shoutout goes to Ricardo in Thomas More Travel who also took very good care of us as he wanted us to do excursions safely and with the best prices he can offer us. He was very caring as he would look into the weather app and reassure us that the excursions we would be doing would be fine despite some days showing some rain. Lastly, we would also like to shout out Oscar, Jésus, Marco and Aurelio as our bartenders. They gave us the best drinks we've ever tasted and their personalities were always so jolly and friendly that we always wanted to come back for more!

We only stayed for 5 days but it felt like 1 with all the fun we were having. The resort is so amazing that it makes it so hard to believe that they just opened. We greatly recommend this resort if ever you are in Cancún!

Royal Uno was numero uno, in my book! My family and I just returned from our stay of four nights.

Food
There was a variety of food options to choose from. I enjoyed the cafe, which was open 24/7. Our favorite meal was from the hibachi restaurant, Aora. You will need reservations for this restaurant.

Activities
There is always something to do at this resort! There are several pools to swim in, one in which has a swim up bar in the center of it. There was a show every night (bonus-we were able to see it from our balcony)! There were a couple musicians that performed in the lobby. The ocean was just a few steps away and chairs were available if you made it to the beach early enough.

Staff
The staff greeted us with a lovely lavender towel right from the get go. Staff in the dining area and throughout the hotel always presented with a smile and were very attentive. Octavio was especially sweet and went out of his way to make us feel comfortable.

Cleanliness
The hotel was very clean from the rooms to the lobby. Housekeeping was readily available and made sure that we had towels and other basic necessities.

Overall, this hotel was a pleasure to stay at. We plan to go back, hopefully sooner rather than later!

I’ve been an owner at the Royal Sands since 2006. We had friends stay at our villa and they bought a 5 day voucher for Uno and took us. We had read many of the complaints on here and took them with a grain of salt but we found many to be true. Check in was terrible, we gotten to our resorts early many time and they just check us in and let us go to the room that was yet to be cleaned. Not at Uno we got into our room after 3:30, and the girl checking us in was not very friendly. Our friends who had the voucher didn’t get checked in till after 4pm. Their concierge wasn’t there to greet us and meet us later to go over our stay like would be done at the Sands. We never even got a concierge and our friends never heard from there’s till the 3rd day.

The things I read about the buffet being bad were true. Not set up well, for example the line for the one egg station was in front of the pancakes and waffles, so you had to ask someone to move to get to them. And the pancakes were terrible. It would have been nice if they would have told us that breakfast was served at the Italian restaurant, we found out on our 4th day which was a shame because it was great, sitting on a beautiful deck overlooking the bay and the food was great.

We’d prefer to be able to order lunch and not have to do the buffet by the pool like at the other Royal resorts. Though the buffet food at lunch was good, my wife waited for a pizza for over 20 minutes with not much of a line because they kept forgetting her.

I was always surprised to see room service trays sitting outside rooms all day. Other than that the resort is well kept.
The rooms are very nice especially the bathrooms. The resort could be great but they need to get the staff trained better. They always seems to have trouble finding you in their system wether it was at checkout, or at the restaurants.

As of now I wouldn’t go back till I heard things were getting better. Until then we will be back at the Sands in Nov.
