Hotel's Favourite
Before we arrived, our travel agent connected us to Daniel Manzana by email, the dining and cabana reservations manager. But how he knew us by face and name, to offer us hats amidst the New Years Eve crowd, was endearing. Maybe it was because he helped us arrange six coconuts in lieu of a bottle of liquor when we rented a cabana a fourth time. The concierge staff, Monica and colleagues, were also so personable and helpful. We loved their daily Whats App message of activities. Monica arranged to have Chef Haisler in Spice, microwave some carryout food we purchased in town. We really appreciated that collaboration. We have stayed at approximately 15-20 resorts and there has never been a time we rated a resort this well. The size of the resort is perfect. The beach was excellent. Not many vendors and no time share salespeople. No lines for meals. Beach cabanas for rent--great idea. Staff amazing! We are very very critical so this is a high praise. We will recommend to our friends, staff and others.  The Christmas and New Years Eve celebrations were beautiful. Those napkins folded like birds! The staff's energy! Your introductions of head staff. And the pool-side entertainment on New Years was incredible. More of your wonderful team impressed us: Cabana guys Ivan, Adrian and Sebastian, who called us by name and tried to offer a steak or seafood in lieu of the alcohol with the fourth cabana rental - we appreciated their service (and coconuts instead). Wait Staff at beach/pool, Victor, Luis, and Eloisa were attentive and kind. Bartender Briscio, taught us all about Tequila (only drink 100% agave!) at the swim up bar. And like many staff, he offered to correct our Spanish speaking. He was delightful. Many bartenders were friendly and welcoming, laughing with us as we danced past them. Breakfast wait staff Gardenia and Carlos Martinez in Spice were special. They offered to make us Christmas coffee after Christmas, teach us Spanish words, and were still serving energetically New Year's Eve. Wow! We always enjoyed the buffet in Spice, given our food limitations. Waiters Arturo and Valdemor at Punta Vista breakfast time, were cheerful and helpful with our language. Food was presented beautifully there. The entertainment team Johnathan, Gerado, Michelle and Mirfar (spelling?) were the highlight of my week. Their energy at the pool, creating a college-like atmosphere for the diverse ages, was so fun. The pool parties and foam were silly and we enjoyed. The team was always together, always visible to your guests. On the windy day, my son-in-law asked if they could move the ping pong table inside, which was a huge hit with many guests besides our family. Housekeeping staff are doing a fabulous job. Inside and outside, public areas and rooms are super clean. We didn't see cups laying about, we liked the clever room service cabinets. The Spa - used on two days by our two sons. Clean, classy, restorative, they said. The sample massage that Bryan arranged for our 21-year old was what encouraged him to use it (but he didn't get the massage). A suggestion: offer moisturizing lotion in the men's changing room. Nightly entertainment was fun. - Kenyai acrobats were amazing and unique! - Check the sound system - when it's so loud, the singers are sometimes overpowered by speaker noise. - Dancers: "beautiful ladies" and "handsome men" were talented. Mixology Bartenders - great teachers in a cool atmosphere. Sports Bar - we enjoyed pool table, foosball and outside space. The Coffee Shop - Kind and Patient Staff, lovely place, great snacks. We all enjoyed our treats from there. Eduardo, the assistant manager would meet with us and take a personal interest in our stay and listen to our comments. I could list so many little things that make this resort outstanding but suffice it say, the attention to the important details were not missed and as such we will return and recommend this resort to friends and associates.

Spa experience was great! Bertha, the valet in the hydrotherapy room, was very helpful and kind. Alejandro gave me a great deep tissue massage. Highly recommend the spa. But I wish the rooms were quieter. Nightly entertainment in the lobby was incredibly loud inside the rooms. The hotel needs to invest in noise proofing .

Beautiful facility, fantastic food, great entertainment, and an absolutely amazing staff! It is an all-inclusive, adults only resort on the beach. I highly recommend it! The staff truly go above and beyond to make your stay wonderful. And the food is outstanding. My only negative is that they don't have a good bar near the beach to relax and have a drink. However, their staff will bring food or drinks to you virtually anywhere on the property.

I just returned yesterday from my 2nd stay (my 1st stay being November of 2021) and it was everything I remembered and more. Check in was delightful, cool towel and water as you entered. Be mindful that if your check-in is prior to 2PM, keep a bathing suit handy in a personal item so you can hit the pool while you wait. Our room was beautiful with a view of the pool and the ocean and a lovely balcony with hammock. While so many hotels no longer even make the bed anymore, they service the room, stock the minibar and snacks and provide turn-down service every night. The Spa was amazing. We booked in advance- check out specials ahead of time! We enjoyed an 80 minute couples massage for the price of a 50 minute massage. Allow time after for the hydro therapy. Weird but refreshing... in and out of hot draw sauna, cold rinse shower, hot steam sauna, cold plunge pool etc... If you would like to be right by the pool you will need to either book a cabana or an additional fee or grab one of the complementary cabanas early in the morning. Our last day we splurged on a poolside cabana on a foam party day. The price is more than double on foam party days but it was worth it. We had a primo spot, bottle service, our own personal attendant and 2 lounge chairs at the edge of the pool in a few inches of water. I have read reviews where people complained about the noise at the pool - yes there are some days where there is a party of some type in the afternoon but the mornings and late afternoon are typically quite and it is more quiet down at the beach cabanas. Keep in mind, it is an adults only - not a retirement facility. If you are concerned about noise from the pool (or from the nightly show that is usually at either 8 or 9PM and lasts for an hour) I would suggest you ask for a room that is not located in the middle of the resort but rather one toward the left or right end of the resort. You may have to walk a little further to be where the action is, but noise will be less of an issue and the resort is large enough to offer some variety but far from being so big that everything isn't easily walkable. This is not a mega resort with golf carts. Spice (buffet) does a great job for breakfast and lunch. We did order room service breakfast one day, it was prompt and decent but didn't hold a candle to the Spice buffet! There is also usually some type of food out around the pool area - grill food burgers, dogs and sometimes pizza. Asiana is great - make a reservation in advance if you want to be at the hibachi table or walk in and simply enjoy great sushi. Maria Marie is a nice choice for Mexican and you don't need a reservation. Discovera offers nice options for excursions. Make sure you ask how long the travel time is for the excursion you are considering. Some of the full day options you may be in a bus for an hour or two just getting there and back. We did a great 5 in 1 excursion that was 3 hours long. Short commute down the road, a fun little "Mayan" show and photo op before drivng our own little boat to a snorkel spot. This time I also booked our transfers through Real Club - it was affordable and easy. An attendant was waiting at the airport with a sign with my name and a sweet Suburban was waiting for us. Our driver was prompt in our early morning pick-up on our day of departure. Overall this resort is a terrific value. Both of my visits have been for 4 nights. While I think it would be nice to go for 5 or 6 nights, I think much more than that would get a little redundant due to the size - you may find you are revisiting the same food and entertainment options. Lastly - check ahead of time for what day the vendors will be there. It was a great night my first time when they had the lobby filled with Mexican food vendors like set up as well as vendors selling local crafts. If I had to say anything that could use improvement - The one thing that was a little disappointing was the amazing shower knob kept coming off so it was hard to adjust the water. We did mention it on day two. The mixed drinks are ok but not amazing - but the service is the best! Shout out to Victor (our pool concierge), Brenda and Jesica in the spa, Martin (I hope I got your name right - you helped us with our excursion option) and Marfer who came to our cabana to ask our favorite colors after I missed bracelet making on our last day (we are still wearing our bracelets and treasure them!!).

We had a great time at this resort. We stayed here for a week and didn't want to leave!! Our room was spacious, clean and cool. We had a corner balcony room on the 8th floor and had spectacular views. The service at this hotel was one of the best I have every been too. Everyone goes out of their way to make your day perfect. We rented a cabana on two of the days and picked those on the quiet side of the pool. We also brought our own rafts and enjoyed just laying on them in the pool taking in the sunshine. We also got a free cabana on the beach one day. The beach is gorgeous but was not great for swimming. The water was pretty rough everyday of our trip. We are more pool people so this was not a problem at all. The hidden gem of this property is the infinity pool located right outside the gym. Go there at sunset and you will have incredible views! I am a fairly picky eater and found the food delicious for the most part. The breakfast buffet in Spice every morning was my favorite! If you cannot find something to eat there, then you are not looking hard enough! I also loved the Asiana and Marie Marie restaurants. I thought the dinner at Punta Vista was outstanding - but I was not a fan of their lunch menu. There are a ton of activities and the entertainment at night was very good. The coffee shop made the best mochachinos and frappacinos! And we made friends with another couple and had dinner with them. Outstanding resort and we will be back.

The resort is absolutely beautiful and stunning. All rooms are ocean front and views are spectacular. While some complain of the "dating" of the decor, it's all clean and well serviced. No worries. The resort is large enough (but not too large) to allow you a variety of locations to relax in sun or shade, with friends or alone, beach or pool, with music or without. Find Victor's area if you can. He was great at keeping us hydrated and such. The Foam Party is worth the watch even if you don't participate. The buffets are well maintained and fresh offering quite the variety of foods daily for lunch and breakfast. The Lobby Bar is a nice open area to relax before dinner or shows. The Den is a MUST. Antonio and Ernesto are a lot of fun and it's a great vibe overall. We don't really do the shows, but we did do a couple of them at Zilara Cancun and were quite impressed. Well attended by the guests, it was nice to see some new friends each night and connect some more. The food served at the shows was wonderful with quite the variety (and don't forget the desserts!).
