This is a great affordable friendly and safe place for divers. If you are looking for a luxury hotel, this is not it, but a clean, reasonably priced, with great dive guides I recommend it completely. They are very accomodating, offer breakfast, dive shop is right there and have a pool. Going back again in couple weeks!

We enjoyed our first stay at Village Tan Kah, and will definitely be back! Roberta and her staff create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for divers. The rooms are comfortable, with lots of storage space. Seating areas outside with lots of bird feeders and beautiful plant life, and hammocks in front of each room. Fresh bananas grown on the property....

Pros: Diving right across the street Smaller boat provides more personal experience (we had 4 divers) Very friendly staff Nice pool. Cons: This is not a 5-star hotel. This is a low budget place to stay. The rooms are fine. If you are looking for amazing accommodations, this is not the place. Breakfast is really cheap. if you are looking...

Good things first, the owner was extremely accommodating, answering emails in details, organizing the snorkel trip, when we arrived they were waiting for us. I'm glad she convinced me to take their snorkel tour as it was excellent! Also, everything was clean, and there was always somebody on site sweeping leaves and taking care of the place. But the room...

I have been diving in Cozumel for over 20 years and have stayed at multiple properties including the Fiesta American, Cozumel Hotel and Resorts (under a variety of names), Casa del Mar, Plaza las Glorias (no longer under that name) and Hotel Barracuda. Each has its strengths and weaknesses. Village Tan Kah's strength is the people involved. Roberta is charming...

Thanks so much Dr Will. We are glad that you had a great time and hope that you will return soon! Just let us know when you arrive that you would like to have a rinse bucket for your camera and we will insure that you have it since the first day of diving.

Village Tan Kah is a great place to stay if you are diving. Right across the street from the scuba shack. The rooms are clean and spacious with great air conditioning. Can't beat the price and diving.

Excellent little resort near the Southern edge of San Miguel. You can't beat the value of this resort. Coupled with the optional dive packages, this is a Diver's dream location. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Within walking distance to main square (30min?) or take a taxi that frequently cruise the main road. A light breakfast of fresh fruit,...

We go to this resort at least once a year (since 1990) as a couple and with friends. Since we go back and back and back I think that says a lot for how much we enjoy this location, the staff, the diving, the breakfast, the hotel, the friendships we have made, and the guidance we receive from Roberta, the...

This was my first trip to Mexico, and I'm so glad we stayed here. It's a cozy place nestled in between two big resorts, you can barely see the entrance unless you know what you're looking for. From the map it looks like you're on a busy street but it's easy to cross during most times of the day. We...

We spent an excellent week in Cozumel at Roberta’s Village Tan Kan and diving with her Eco-Dive Cozumel operation. The Village is an older, quaint, clean, and charming hotel. Roberta’s Scuba Shack is just across the street. The Shack has a well maintained stock of rental gear, knowledgeable staff, and a secure walk in dive locker where you can hang...
