My wife and me stayed at Villas Ixchel 14 days on the 25 feb. to the 11 march 2006. We were delighted with the welcome from the owner Rosie. She is a happy and smiling person. She has been living in Mexico for many years and can help you with all you need to know for the restaurants, beaches, places... More

My family and I were in Cozumel in Dec. 2005, just a one day port stop off our cruise ship. We definitely wanted to snorkel. The cruise ship (RC) offered excursions but we shopped around the Web to find something more personal, better snorkeling etc. and we found it with Rosey from Villas Ixchel at ----! There were 5 of... My wife and I, along with another couple, recently returned from a wonderful vacation to the Mayan Riviera. One of the highlights of our trip was the incredible Snorkeling Tour that we took on Cozumel with dive master Roswitha Flury. In advance, I knew that we wanted to snorkel on the reef off of Cozumel but we did not want... More

This is long overdue as my wife and I stayed with Rosie in January of 2004 for our honeymoon. Not a day has passed since that we have not thought about our stay at Villas Ixchel. Rosie was the nicest and most accommodating hostess we have ever encountered. She knows the best spots for everything on the island. Food, beaches,... More

Rob and I spent 4 days here and we wish we could have stayed 4 more days. I liked the Villas Ixhel's location in a neighberhood setting away from the tourist areas. We walked into town frequently during the day and night. To explore the island we rented a a VW bug that had a personality of it's own. One... More

Discovered Cozumel with Roswitha Flury, the 1st of March. The absolute best time, highly recommend! Having heard that Cruise excursions can be crowded and overpriced, we went out of our comfort box and decided to book an excursion with a local dive/snorkel operator in Cozumel, Roswitha Flury. We cannot say enough good things about our experience. Initially concerned how the... More

We stayed in Villas Ixchel from January 9 – 18 2005 and we had a pleasant time. Booking the place was very easy. Rosie replied promptly on my emails and answered all my questions regarding how to get to her place. My family of 3 (1 kid almost 3yrs) were very warm welcomed to Roswitha’s place. As soon as we... Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Villas Ixchel is located in an upper class Mexican residental area, in Colonia Independencia. It is peacefully quiet and away from the tourist crowds of downtown. A very safe neighborhood you can walk everywhere, catch a taxi on the street or park your rental car easily. Each of our guest suites is scrupulously clean (I am Swiss!). All feature a fully equipped kitchenette, AC, Ceiling Fans, Fridge, TV, Radio, and of course daily maid service. There is also high speed wifi. We have a tropical garden where you can sit out and enjoy your breakfast under the coconut tree. We also have in house PADI scuba certification, private snorkeling tours. I've lived here 25 years so, of course, have all information you will ever need to make your vacation special an unforgettable.
