This was our first trip to Mexico and it was fantastic. We wanted to avoid the typical tourist traps so choose a small four room hotel that was rated(appropretly} number 1 on Cozumel. We were not disappointed. Dan and his staff provided us with everthing we asked for and more. We found the atmosphere layed back and accomodations that filled...

Casita Maya in Cozumel, Mexico is a quaint 4-room hotel that sits ~400 yards from the airport. For seven days it became our home away from home. Jolie The Housekeeper; Wilbur The Maintenance Man; Dan The Keeper of the Keys; Diego The Taco Boss; Trixie The Dog; and Kitty-Kitty The Cat all made us feel so welcome that leaving became...

My husband and I stayed at Casita de Maya for 9 days from March 25th to April 3rd. There is not a whole lot new I can add to all of the reviews already posted. I will say they are very accurate. Casita de Maya is wonderful! We were greeted by sweet Jolie (the housekeeper) who promptly got Dan on...

We arrived in Cozumel and literally walked across the road to Casa de Maya. My husband and I couldn't help but wonder if we had made the right decision, wondering if the location would be right for us. Within minutes we knew our trip would be all that we had hoped for. Diego arrived to help us get settled in....

We arrived on the ferry in Cozumel after 10 quiet days in Tulum and were horrified by the tacky seafront catering to cruise liners. However, we relaxed within minutes of arriving at Casita de Maya. Dan was not around but his friend Dennis looked after us, checked us in and gave us the lay of the land, including putting us...

Within our first 2 hours of arriving we understood what all the great reviews were about. My husband and I arrived without our luggage because it did not make the connecting flight. Dan immediately offered to take me to the store to buy supplies, gave us snorkeling equipment to use until ours arrived, as well as towels and a cooler...

When we were walking down the road to the hotel we thought "have we made a mistake" as Casita de Maya is by the airport and nowhere else it seemed. How wrong we were. Small but perfectly formed was our perfect base in San Miguel on Cozumel. Dan the owner is a brilliant host and has thought of everything for...

I cannot thank Dan enough for his hospitality. I feel like I made a new, dear friend. Dan took care of us in many unexpected ways, and he greatly helped us out with the local doctors when my wife became ill. He demonstrates a level of concern for his guests that goes far beyond any innkeeper I've met. The place...
