WE have been going to Soggy Peso for many years for the great margaritas and daily specials! The owners Mal and Sally graciously showed us their new addition just renovated: The Penthouse Suite! We were so taken with this beautifullly appointed suite and found out it was available for the rest of our stay here on the island. WE are...

The owners, Sally and Mal, were great. We got in late, about 7pm, and the first thing Mal has to offer us is dinner...on the house! The housekeeping each of our 5 days was impeccable, and we were given fresh fruit for our stay, as well as more bottled water than we could possibly drink each day. A nice, quiet...

The Penthouse has a king size bed, full kitchen, awesome views and the staff will handle all your needs, ordering you a golf cart, tours or having a cocktail delivered to your door. Thanks Soggy Peso!

My husband and I visited last week and loved this place. 2 margaritas and I was a bit tipsy. The food was excellent and a fun crowd. Beautiful sunset spot. I just wish we had been able to stay longer! We will definately go back.

We had one of the best rooms that we have every had at the Soggy Peso! The view was spectacular overlooking the palms and beautiful waters. The penthouse was new with outstanding decor and a huge bathroom and shower. It was spotlessly clean and comfortable. 👍👍 for this place!!

The waitress didn't come to our table at all. We had to go to the bar and order. After getting our VERY strong drinks, she told us that lunch doesn't start until 1pm. This was at 12. I could only have half of my 8 dollar ďrink. We left at 12 30 because we were on our way to get groceries. Ì...

The first time my husband and I visited Soggy Peso was on our trip last year and knew we had to come back this year! We stopped in most days on our trip for at least a drink to say hi to Daniel, the Island's best bartender. A couple days we stopped for lunch because the food is amazing. The...

You can't beat the service, food and drinks at The Soggy Peso! Everywhere we travel we always compare to the Peso and nothing ever stacks up! Great food special every single day keeps you coming back. The best and strongest margarita I have ever had. This is our go to spot.

Walked 2 miles to this place because we heard good reviews. It was NOT worth it. Watered down rum n cokes, treated rudely at closing. They acted like we were trying to stiff them on our bill. Will not go again. Nice sunset views from the dock.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
ISLAND TIME Located on the beautiful Bahia de Isla, The Soggy Peso --unique and full of character--is just a short distance from El Centro(the island's business district). Our waterfront view allows the visitor to check out the fishermen leaving in the mornings and returning with their catches at sunset.......sunsets that are absolutely breathtaking over a cold cerveza or a glass of wine. But we are also convenient to the white sands of North Beach and the numerous bars and restaurants on Hidalgo Street But don't forget the Soggy Peso Palapa Bar where fishermen and colorful characters of the Island alike take pride in swapping their Caribbean experiences-----some true....some not so true. And the bartender....who refuses to be outdone......has the tendency at times of being slightly more interesting than his customers. Our laid back life style at The Soggy Peso personifies that famous line in one of Jimmy Buffett's songs..."Keep it simple , Stupid".So..... Bienvenidos!!!! Parrot Heads,Yayhoos, SnubQueens, and Good Ole' Boys!!!!!!! ALMOST FORGOT!.....In keeping with our Bed & Cocktail theme, each room guest will be entitled daily to some free Bloody Marys in the morning and some free Margaritas in the afternoon! ... more   less
