From the incredible sunsets over Cancun from or balcony, to the gracious host Oswaldo, to the incredible breakfasts brought up to our balcony, to the pool and the stairs down to the beach and ocean, this hotel was absolutely ideal. It is in a beautiful, quiet section of Isla Mujeres, close to the ruins at Punta Sur and protected reefs....

Our second stay - of which there will be many more - was as pleasurable and relaxing as the first. The staff continues to be be cheerful, helpful and accomodating. No request is too much to ask and is attended to immediately. The rooms are pristine with comfortable beds, colorful bathrooms and terraces with enchanting views. The location at the...

The rooms, pool, ocean views, outdoor seating areas and direct access to a great private waterfront all make this a wonderful resort, but what really set it apart was the incredible dedication of the hotel manager Oswaldo and the rest of the friendly staff. During my stay I needed to receive a critical document from home in a very short...

I hosted a yoga retreat last week at Hotel La Joya on Isla Mujeres. We booked the entire property (12 rooms) and stayed for 5 nights. We all loved it. I host retreats worldwide and have not only been coming to this island since 1980, but also lived here for 2 years -- this is a hidden gem. Part of...

Hotel is simple and basic. Amazing sunsets, beautiful view and owner is nice and helpful. Food is bad and breakfast is pooooor (toast with jam... That all).. Served rather late (as from 8:30) Omelets cost extra and only when chef is in the area. Room is clean but super basic and towels are not changed every day. All in all,...

Negatives- - Showers very low water pressure and cold half the time we were there - Not many places to eat within walking distance in the evening. The only ones were v. expensive - Breakfast not served till 8:30 which meant we missed it several days - Breakfast a bit boring after 2 weeks of the same thing. Would have...

I left one of my favorite dresses by the pool and didn't discover it was missing until after I returned home. The head of housekeeping communicated with me and returned the dress to me. Above and beyond.

What a beautifully relaxing place to spend the last two days of our family holiday in Mexico. As others have commented, this small hotel has amazing views over the blue waters of the Caribbean and the cabana style rooms are great - complete with spacious verandas for sunset gazing. It was a little too difficult to get a drink for...

Just returned from a week of total relaxation at Hotel La Joya! The hotel is located on the south end of the island, away from main tourist area. We rented a golf cart which made traveling the island easy. We could enjoy an afternoon shopping and eating in Centro and return to the hotel and relax in their peaceful surroundings....

Beautiful and quite place in Isla Mujeres. We had a great time, the rooms are big, clean and perfect, the view from the pool is beautiful and the private beach is just perfect for swimming, snorkeling or kayaking. Highly recommanded.
