We stayed in the first room (of four) with a private plunge pool - it was not heated and we actually went in January of 2021 but no option on here to go back that far. The food was OK - just walk and experience the food in town. The drinks and staff were fantastic and they had a live band on Friday afternoon which was excellent - we listened from our patio. Beds not very comfortable but drinks helped with that. It was not all inclusive when we visited.

We just came back from the most amazing vacation!! We didn't want to leave. The location is perfect. It's located on Playa Norte, the best beach on the island. It's also within walking distance to many restaurants, bars and shopping. The rooms were amazing. We had a private plunge pool room overlooking the ocean. The Guru Beach Club is attached to the hotel which had great food and drinks. Then there's the staff--well there are not enough words to describe the staff. They ALL go above and beyond to make your stay the best it can be. I feel like we checked in as guests and left as family. I can't wait to return and wouldn't stay any place else on the island.

We had an amazing stay in Room 2! The beach club is fun and relaxing. Staff and reception are very friendly and ready to help at any time. Perfect place for an early morning or late evening walk on the beach. I can recommend this place for a stay on the island!

We had booked an Airbnb for our stay at Cancun Isla Mujeres. Long story short the place was not where it had said to be and we did not feel comfortable at our stay. We decided to leave with no refund and had no other bookings. We took a taxi to the north side (downtown) and walked around, We found Lotus Beach Hotel, Thank god. Mayte Velazquez took us in and gave us the best room available at a discounted price (after hearing that we couldn’t get refunded) She had explained to the manager Alexander Barbados, that it was our honeymoon and that’s when he made it his mission to make our stay magical. We didn’t ask for any special requests or treatment, Alex took it upon his on accord to make our stay special. That speaks volumes on his character and his work ethic. We took every single one of his recommendations and they were all great. The cherry on top was our last night, he arranged with me that he would decorate the room with roses, beautiful glitter photos from our wedding, a special letter, and a delicious Mexican champagne. Upon our check out he delivered some delicious tacos that are only made on the other side of the island on sundays for breakfast. Those hit the spot! The rooms are beautiful, the staff is very friendly, the food and drinks on premises were delicious, very close to other restaurants and nightlife but it won’t disturb your sleep. Very comfortable bed and modern amenities in each room. The location is EVERYTHING! I can’t reiterate how thankful we are for finding Lotus Beach Hotel. Alex, Luigi, Mayte, Juan, and the rest of the staff, We can’t thank you enough for making our honeymoon so special.…

Amazing location, on the best beach of the island. Wonderful staff, fun, respectful, and always helpful. Definitely recommend staying here, wouldn’t stay anywhere else when I come back to the Island. This is the best property by far on Isla, and a thousand times better than Casa Jaguar next door. Thanks to the staff and the manager for an amazing stay.

This is a boutique hotel with 6 very excellent rooms right on the beach and well staffed restaurant, bar and beach area. The staff, manager and owner were all very courteous, friendly and attended to our every need. If you are looking for a very large all inclusive resort, this is not your place. If you are looking for a beautiful, quiet, adult only, destination with one of the world's most beautiful sandy beaches (and I have visited many around the world) this is the place for you. Not only was the beach great, but the water in this beach cove was crystal clear, calm, seaweed free and full of beautiful fish swimming all around you; a truly beautiful beach fantasy experience.

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights recently… I will say it was not exactly what we expected. We expected a serene chill experience- that wasn’t exactly what we got. The chakra room designs in the rooms, yoga mats and general vibe didn’t exactly match the reality of what the place is…. However we didn’t have the worst time we just had to tweak our expectations and daily plans. So here is the deal- this hotel is super cute. There are 6 rooms I believe which was also advertised so I guess we assumed it was small and quiet. Well it is small- but quiet it is not. It is attached to Guru Beach club- that is where you get your drinks, meals, etc. they start playing music in the morning and it progressively gets louder and more techno as the day goes on….It is on a public beach also. So literally everyone and their mother takes the ferry from Cancun over to this beach. It gets very crowded. The beach club lets anyone in with a minimum purchase and then all of those people take over the pool. I feel like for the price we paid we should have had something only for us. Maybe only allow non guests to use the pool certain times? I don’t know what the answer is but what I will say is we had to go to the beach and pool from 9-11ish before everyone got there and then couldn’t even go to our rooms and chill or read books because by 12 the techno was just nonstop. So we rented a golf cart and explored during the day, would come back, shower and then head to dinner somewhere else also. When we would return the beach club and also bar are just completely closed- so it you want a drink or snacks after 7:30 forget about it. They are literally there for the people not staying at the hotel. Which- I get- they want to make money but there should be a little more attention and exclusivity for guests. OR cut the price in half. If I paid $400 or under a night for a room my expectations would not have been as high. But after the room and taxes we paid almost $1000 a night. For that money I would at least like to be able to swim in the pool when I wanted to. Not share it with 40 people that bought 1 cocktail to use it. I must add that yea the music stops around 7-8pm at the beach club….however, that’s when Mia (the hotel across the way) really starts revving up their music for the night so from 7 to about 11 you get to hear an annoying DJ with a megaphone. Lucky you. The positives- drinks were very good. Food was very good. Alex the manager is A++. He was warm, welcoming, and gave us tons of recommendations. Honestly he is probably the only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 2 or 3. An hour after getting there we realized this wasn’t the place for us, but made the most of it. We are in our 40’s- fun people but came for relaxation, not partying so this could partly be our fault for not researching more. If you are looking for music all day and socializing this is the place for you for sure! You will have a great time! If you are looking to relax- this is probably not the place for you. End of story- if you wanna party then head on over! If you want relaxation- go to the a place more south on the island!…

The Lotus Hotel was the perfect spot for our 15th wedding anniversary. We were treated like royalty from beginning to end. The manager Alexander made sure each day of our stay was special and provided us the most helpful service we have ever had. The food, room, and location were spectacular. Really can’t say enough about how great this place is. We have vacationed all over the world and the Lotus is now one of our favorite spots on the planet! Can’t wait to come back.

My husband and I just got back from Isla Mujeres (July 2022) and we both agree The Lotus Hotel is a new home away from home for us! We don't normally do return visits to a place, just because there are too many places to see, BUT Isla Mujeres is an exception!! The Lotus Hotel has a lot to do with how much we enjoyed our stay. The entire staff made us feel like "mi casa su casa." I miss the staff and look forward to seeing them again next year. (Hola Camilla y tus amigos!!) The rooms are unbelievably nice with private terraces overlooking the nicest beach on the island. We did some awesome snorkeling right off this beach. The hotel's beach club bar and restaurant, Guru, had excellent food and drinks. Try the guacamole and ceviche!! As far as location is concerned, Lotus is the prime spot on Isla Mujeres. It was an easy 20-minute walk to the hotel from the ferry and the streets are lined with open-air bars, food vendors, & shops. It's a beautiful walk! We also rented a golf cart nearby Lotus and explored the entire island, this is a must-do! The Lotus at Playa Norte is definitely the place to be! We'll be back!…

This hotel is truly fantastic. First off, the location is perfect. You are located right on the beach, and only a short walk from the main town of Isla Mujeres. The area is quiet at night, but has a lot going on during the day. There are only 6 rooms, so the staff really gets to know the guests. The manager Alexander reached out before our arrival and made sure to personally say hello to us. Our room was spacious, comfortable and even had its own plunge pool! Simply put, we could not have asked for a better place to stay and will certainly be coming back.
