My friends and I stayed here a couple of weeks ago and our room was so hot it was unbearable. The room temperature was way hotter than outside - I had to have 2 fans of my face to be able to get even a little bit of sleep. I would definitely recommend staying somewhere with air con or just...

I had truly great time there! Really nice and well located! Range of free activities throughout all day (everyday!) like salsa and spanish lessons, yoga, slack line, volleyball, live music every night! Very friendly and helpful staff! The only problem - rooms without aircon get really hot sometimes. Choose a bottom bed ;)

I had been traveling around Mexico and a friend suggested to visit Islas mujeres so we stayed in poc-na and can say it was amazing!! The staff are super super friendly. The bar tender is the image of Orlando bloom( so girls out there make sure you introduce yourself, he's also lovely!). There's always something to do and activities such...

Had a great time here the breakfast is like getting rations not really very good. The rooms are big enough but they do not keep the mosquitos out at all you will be eaten alive during the night. The staff are really friendly and very helpful. The bathrooms are clean and well maintained. The bar in the hostel is nice...

Surrounded by the most beautiful beaches - this hostel had a great vibe. Loved the hammocks and the night time live music and activities. We also organised the whale shark diving through the Hostel which I would definitely recommend - INCREDIBLE!

This is a great place to meet people (a bit of a party hostel - hard to sleep with the loud music). There are lots of social spaces to chill and watch a movie, to drink casually or eat, listen to live music, or have a dance party on the beach. The hostel also offers 4 daily activities for free,...

Really good location, very close to main beach. The sandy hammock/outside bar area is really good. All dorms have private bathroom and plenty of fans. Hostel staff very friendly. Breakfast included. It does feel like an airprot lounge at times with so many people going though but all in all very good and definitely worth a visit!

Stayed here for 3 nights - rooms were ok, excellent activities and good atmosphere at hostel. Wi Fi was very slow and pretty much non existent. Very friendly staff especially the guys who instructed the activities and Vanessa - who was very welcoming !

Great Hostel, offering plenty of services. Good choice of accomodation and amazing location for few days at Isla Mujeres! Shared showers could be a little cleaner and taken care of... If not, great atmosphere with people from 18 to 40.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Mexicos oldest hostel that still ranks among the countries best. Built in the 1950s it is located on Isla Mujeres, a small Caribbean (7km long) island and is 20min from Cancun by boat. This hostel boasts a restaurant and bar that is open until 11pm, after which the real fun begins at the beach bar until 2.45am. Pocna has access to beach volleyball, games room, movies on demand and bikes for rent. We are close to North Beach, which is Isla Mujeres most beautiful beach and Pocna itself is situated right on its own beach that is perfect for relaxing and taking the sun. This exciting hostel offers free activities such as Yoga everymorning, Spanish classes, juggling and what ever happens to be being taught by one of the many talented people that pass through. If you have the talent and the time of at least one month, you can teach an activity and have your cost of your stay covered.Winter time brings on private parties inside the hostel and also bonfire nights with live music and jamming after. Everynight in there is live music in Pocna and the year also brings many high profile bands to play within the walls of Pocna. Those to date include Los Authentico Decadentes, Los Aguas Aguas, No Te Va a Gustar and La Renga with many more in the future plans. An amazing fun and social hostel. On the backpackers trail and full of international guests. A must to come and visit in Mexico. ... more   less
