We've stayed 4 nights here, and loved it. Jan, Rita & co have been so welcoming and helpful - especially Anna and Mauricio. They recommended great restaurants (Apoala & Oliva Enoteca), and provided a lovely relaxing atmosphere - happy hour, snacks, nice chat. Our room was fantastic - spacious, walk-in shower, balcony; and so quiet at night. The pool is...

I agree with all the other excellent reviews. The hosts and staff could not be nicer or more helpful. Breakfasts were delicious. The pool was fabulous to take a dip in after walking around town. Merida on Sunday is so much fun. Merida is hot and a walking town so be prepared.

And those two thumbs would be the amiable owners Jan and Reta. Their hotel is what I call a "hybrid" in that it is small and personable like a B&B, but has amenities and services like a hotel. We primarily chose this place based on the positive TA reviews that consistently emphasized "service" and we weren't disappointed. Jan gave us...

Excellent location (10 min. walk to Plaza Grande). Superb, small scale boutique hotel. Rita, Jan and their staff are very friendly and do their utmost to ensure your perfect stay at the hotel. Exceptional room quality and styling details. We loved the breakfast, they offer several options to choose from. We got complimentary drinks at the bar and in the...

- Very hospitable hosts; - great house / rooms; - good food for breakfast / dinner; - quiet location easily walked into the main square; - and of course the star of the show is Gio. Merida has good craft beer at Hermana Republica by the way (on Calle 64 by junction with Calle 55).

My boyfriend and stayed here for two days during Christmas time last year. Even though it's peak season, the room we got was still reasonably priced. This boutique hotel was located in a quiet lane and you couldn't tell anything from the outside, but when we were welcomed inside, it's like a hidden paradise. It looked as beautiful as we...

We stayed here in December 2016 for 3 nights and had a lovely stay. It is nondescript from the outside but we were in for a surprise the moment we entered through the doors. It is a luxurious oasis. Jan,Rita, Ana are very warm and will go out of their way to make you comfortable.

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Mérida Santiago for four nights late December 2016/early January 2017. Of course photos can always be deceiving, but we were cautiously optimistic this would be a nice place to stay based upon previous reviews. Lucky for us, it turned out to be an <amazing> place to stay. We were welcomed warmly by the...

What's not to love about this little boutique hotel?? The owners, Jan and Rita, are friendly, professional, and go out of their way to make sure you have a great experience in Merida. We also very much appreciated Ana's (the receptionist) help in getting us checked in and settled into the hotel. The hotel is beautifully designed with a pool...

We had a wonderful stay at "Mérida Santiago". The place is a real little oasis in the town of Mérida, with a beautiful interior design. It's walking distance from the historic center.
