Decent Hotel, very good price. Street entry not very inviting, until you step in. /Then it is quite charming. Friendly employees, quiet and restful, very close to the city center, and activities. Easy walk to lots of nice places. TV would not work, in spite of lots pf employee tinkering, which made it work for short periods. Toilet did not...

We left our AC on when we left so it'd be nice and cool when we returned to our room. The maid had unplugged the AC and opened our windows. I wasn't impressed with that move. The place wasn't super clean and the hot water didn't work for a couple of days. A couple of the front desk people were...

i'm not sure how to rate this place, it's defenity a budget place. i think i was the only gringa at the time, but was popular with mexicans. i needed someplace very close to friends house and this was cheap. but no coffee maker, no iron, and a deposit for the remote, as well as windows on the inside. and...

We positively enjoyed our visit to Merida because this hotel is so conveniently located. We walked to nearly every place we wanted to go. Close to great restaurants, shops, parks, the main plaza and more. Hotel is beautiful and the old colonial touches make it feel so authentic.

Nice rooms, good service. A/C broke, which was not awesome in the heat - they tried to fix it quickly but couldn't, so offered to let us change rooms. Nice entrance/pool/sitting area. I'll bet they never actually fill up, since they have a lot of rooms - many more than are available by web reservation.

Perfect location on Calle 55 which is close to all the main attractions in town and walking distance to restaurants. The hotel lobby and grounds are beautiful and it is definitely worth walking around the grounds and viewing all the paintings on display. The rooms are basic and clean. The wifi worked very well in the reception area but for...

Hotel Santa Maria is well located close enough to Calle 60 without being right in the middle of the noise. Its a nice hotel and well priced. The rooms are clean and serviced each day. The Wifi in my room worked well and was fast enough. The shower mostly had hot water when required and the A/C worked fine. There...

Very convenient location. Beautiful lobby! Once we parked the car it was an easy walk to all the sights of Historic Centro Merida. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. The wifi worked great, but guests have to know there is lobby wifi different from your room. Really enjoyed the swimming pool after a long day of sightseeing. We will definitely...

This is the second year that we've stayed at the Hotel Santa Maria. For the price and the location, it remains our best choice. The hotel is about equidistant from the Centro Historico and the Paseo de Montejos, and near Santa Lucia square and many fine restaurants. Do not mistake this for a luxury hotel; it's not. The toilet seat...

Great little hotel, rooms were clean, bed comfortable. Very good value for money and convenient location - only 2 blocks away from main square. There is also hotel parking offsite. Friendly and helpful staff.
