Excellent moderately priced hotel. We loved all the decor. The staff were all very helpful, can´t comment on the restaurant as we only had breakfast. we stayed in room 204, opposite the reception desk. Very spacious, good beds. Wifi reception not very good because of the thick walls. The only problem we found was that the air conditioner is directed...

Thank you very much for your comment! It was a real pleasure to host you. We sorry to hear about the air condition. We would like to know, if it is possible, the room number you had, so we can fix it, and if you told this to Front desk in order to get help. Anyway, we are doing maintenance...

The most interesting aspect about this place is that it is a former Franciscan monastery named after Friar Diego. The second most interesting fact is that in the agreement that you sign to stay here, the hotel can kick you out for participating in "immoral activity." I supposed that this involves either drugs or prostitution. So you know you are...

Nice hotel with a lovely courtyard. The restaurant was good but opened late and closed early. Staff were helpful and pleasant. I forgot to tip on checkout and still feel bad. Good location right near Centro. The walls are very thick so there is no phone signal or wifi once inside. The mission theme was a bit overdone and the...

Our first trip to Merida and we very fortunate to pick this hotel for our first few nights. It is just steps to the Centro but tucked away in a quiet courtyard, we felt secluded in an oasis. Walk thru an unassuming doorway, past the courtyard fountain. The excellent front desk clerks, who were happy to speak with us in...

My wife and I stayed at La Mision de Fray Diego for our first two nights on a trip in the Yucatan. The hotel is true to its Catholic theme in many ways with crucifixes, paintings, and other little details. We booked one of the suites and we're glad we did. It was spacious, comfortable and nicely furnished. The valet...

Beautifully converted friary around 2 courtyards, one with fountain, the other with small swimming pool. Rooms are over 3 floors and are airy and attractive. Our aircon was pretty noisy (dealt with by ear plugs) but really efficient in the fierce heat of Merida. Staff are more than helpful, recommending restaurants and helping with my weak Spanish. Breakfast was good...

An old convent that lends itself to a small hotel. Lovely courtyard, small garden & pool, basic but clean & comfortable room. What really made this a good stay was very friendly staff [they are also happy to teach you some Mayan!].

We spent two nights here. The hotel is well located about 3 minutes walk from the main square in Merida. The rooms are comfortable, situated round one of two courtyards, one of which has a pool. The service was quite good, despite a misunderstanding at dinner about the price of drinks. You need to be prepared for a religious theme:...

We booked into this hotel for 2 nights. The position is good - being relatively close to the centre of the historic town and restaurants. However, when we were allocated our room, we were very disappointed. The bathroom door only opened part way because it was stopped by the toilet. Then, cockroaches appeared out of the shower drain - proceeded...

What a lovely oasis from the craziness of the center of Merida's historic district. The suites are amazing-- huge, beautiful, classy, comfortable, and with all the modern upgrades of a new room. (That wasn't so clear from the photo). Great service, and with a nice plaza for sitting and relaxing. Also a nicely maintained dipping pool- which is extremely handy...
