I enjoyed spending eight days at the Hotel Victoria. The location is perfect. Right at the start of the historic part of Montejo avenue. My luggage was lost by the airline, but the staff was very helpful. The rooms are very new can clean, the building is beautiful. You are able to walk to many places from this hotel. There are taxi's right in front, but I did not use them. I found the hotel an excellent value for what it cost and the services and location.
We spent a week in this hotel, and were quite impressed. No, it is not a luxury hotel, and it is not brand new. However, the rooms were spotlessly clean, and the installations are fine. The hotel sits right on the Paseo de Montejo, which is the nicest avenue in the city, and which is a great walk, at least when the heat and humidity permit. The hotel staff were attentive and friendly, and our stay was as pleasant as it gets. My rating of the hotel is scaled to the price ... yes, you could pay triple, and be a bit more comfortable, but this was pretty impressive for such a low price. The only minor negative was that some of the towels were a bit old and stiff.
The rooms are not clean, sheets had stains and hairs on them. The bed covers are filthy. The hotel claims having a gym but it’s just a hotel room full of old, rusty useless equipment. Food in the restaurant is terrible. The staff is polite and friendly though . There are better options in Merida for the price.
The hotel Víctoria is located in the paseo Montejo it is a very nice hotel. It has a French style and very comfortable. The hotel In general the place is very nice the architecture it's colonial but the room more contemporaneous. Very clean and the style very nice. It has a terrace at top, the view is pretty nice and there is space to relax and also has a Jacuzzi. Personal They are so serious, the smile is very important to feel like home. Rooms Pretty rooms. Enough apace, very clean, internet is good, have a coffee maker amenities, beds good size, the bath is great. The problem it's the train noise in the morning. Location The hotel is on one of the most representative avenues in Merida. The location is perfect you can walk by Paseo de Montejo and if you take Uber or taxi you get to the center in 15 minutes. The problem it's around the the hotel there is not many options for dinner, for lunch or breakfast. Restaurant The food is very good, and tasty, the price is relative reasonable, nice staff. And the buffet in the morning is good. …
Hotel located on the famous Montejo Ave. I thought Merida was a small town but not. We have to take taxis from hotel and because the great location rides were short and cheap. Less than $5US. Sometimes we walked the avenue and it was a nice walk. Hotel is clean, bedrooms are small but the suite is very nice and spacious. We were a family of 6 and decided for a suite and two bedrooms. Work perfectly. Bedrooms on the middle of the hall can be noisy from people arriving late. Breakfast good. Maricela at the reception is great. She arranged our tour to cenote and Chichen Itza and it was the best. The company she recomended was great and the driver was our tour guide. Very knowledgeable. It was worth it to pay a little extra for private tour and you manage time as yoy want. Booking was easy Henry was very helpful over the phone answering all the questions and finalizing booking online. Any concerns via email was great. The hotel answers very quickly.…
Excellent hotel. Room was lovely. Clean with nice furnishings. Bathroom is large. Nice shower. We stayed in room #314 and it was very quiet. We had king size bed. A/C work d great. The coffee in the room was a nice bonus. There is a refrigerator in the room. The staff was wonderful. The restaurant for breakfast was excellent. Buffet. Great service and price.
The staff was so helpful and respectful. Was there for a week and do not speak the language. There were English speaking employees that were very kind in getting the information I needed. They helped with printing out my boarding pass also. It’s located close to everything. I will stay there again next trip.
great food very reasonable.walking distance to starbucks.good place to do walking.can go to 6th floor balconey and get a great veiw of the whole city.staff very helpful.rooms very cleaned.room rates price reasonabled
The beds and the room were small and confining. The internet service was extremely poor and we only had access lying down with our hands extended at full arms length. They refused to honor the rate for the room and charged extra for the kids despite the fact that the agreement said for 4 people. Could not stay and checked out early as kids were miserable. Ended up being informed they would charge us for aan extra night as we did not honor four night stay. Staff was uninterested in our complaint. will go back to Conqusitador which gets an A+ rating,
We went to stay at the hotel during our honeymoon and it was. Horrible stay. The internet in the hotel never worked but that was just a small problem. The bigger one was that from our shower there was almost no water and there was no opportunity to wash yourself.so we wanted to see if maybe the bathtub works, but the water leaving there was brown and smelled disgusting. When we mentioned the problems to the manager they did not do anything about it. We had a very bad experience with this hotel, the customer service was not existing or rude. We did not get any reimbursement or apologies until now
