Tom and Donard are ALWAYS so helpful and accommodating. They are a wealth of information about Merida and the surrounding area. We always have them line up our transfers to the Progeso coast. The Luz itself is the epitome of rustic Colonial elegance. Will never forget our first stay in 2008. While in our washroom getting ready to go out...

We loved coming back to our poolside rooms in this cozy hotel. We recently spent 5 days and had two poolside rooms with little patios. Really a lovely atmosphere, comfortable room/beds and nice bathrooms. Loved the extra touch of the shot cart in the lobby and cold beer in the fridge. Watch the "no see um" mosquitos if sitting outside...

My girlfriend and I had a great stay at Luz En Yucatan. We stayed for 2 nights in the poolside room, which was in the back corner of the courtyard. So nice coming out for a dip in the sun soaked pool early in the morning and relaxing in the hammock on the balcony. The bedroom is connected via the...

Well I have been to Mexico many, many times and I have done all the usual vacations with staying at resorts in Cancun big ones and small ones - three star to five star and then I moved on to staying in Playa del Carmen, a smaller resort town about 45 minutes from Cancun. However, some years back I decided...

This was my husband and I second time In Merida in 2 months, we loved it so much. What a charming laid back retreat! Our room was so spacious with all you need, including a couple of cold beers in the fridge on your arrival! Bathroom was spacious and spa like. Our room overlooked pool area and courtyard but we...

This is a little gem with a perfect location and great management. So glad I got in on a cancellation! The on-site owner, my fellow Coloradan Tom Williams, definitely knows what he's doing, and has appointed each of the 8-10 rooms with just what I needed and more, including extremely comfortable bed, nice shower, and great housekeeping. There's a pool...

We enjoyed a couple of days in Merida and laid our head at the Luz. It is a great surprise to open the street door to a cool lounge area, inner courtyard and then to our room by the pool. We stayed here for a few days, headed out to Celestun and returned, our second stay was in a huge...

My husband and I only had one week to take a long needed vacation. I never expected it to be as lovely and accommodating as it was. The rooms were comfortable, the location is spot on and the management was friendly and helpful. We spent most of our time right in the immediate area, many terrific restaurants, shops and events...
