I wish I could give this place 6 stars! I was touring my parents around the Yucatan, and we booked 3 nights here. The owners were nice enough to block it off for an additional night at no charge so I would have a place to rest when I arrived very early in the morning! The property is beautiful, and...

Huge room on 2nd floor (Upstairs standard room, though sadly too late in booking to get a room with balcony and hammock overlooking pool which looked even more splendid). Our massive room even had a small sofa and desk area, very clean and well equipped, with drinking water plentiful. Fridge contained beers on arrival which I forgot were on offer,...

I knew i would get back some day and i did. We stayed for the last week of March and it was fabulous. The owner actually remembered me and we had a great chat about all the upgrades that have been made since my last visit. The place is still a paradise in the middle of the city, cool and...

LOVE this hotel. Amazing building, terrific location. Great staff, met the owner who leaves out free alcohol for guests. The pool and hammocks surrounding it are awesome. Rooms are spacious and airy in a really hot city. Well worth staying here, so much character!

Everything about this hotel was so nice! Very historical, in an old house, in one of the best areas of Merida. Walking distance to all of the action. The room was so comfy. We had the budget room in the hall to the pool, and I thought it might be noisy, but it wasn't bad at all. The room was...

Tom and Donard are ALWAYS so helpful and accommodating. They are a wealth of information about Merida and the surrounding area. We always have them line up our transfers to the Progeso coast. The Luz itself is the epitome of rustic Colonial elegance. Will never forget our first stay in 2008. While in our washroom getting ready to go out...

We loved coming back to our poolside rooms in this cozy hotel. We recently spent 5 days and had two poolside rooms with little patios. Really a lovely atmosphere, comfortable room/beds and nice bathrooms. Loved the extra touch of the shot cart in the lobby and cold beer in the fridge. Watch the "no see um" mosquitos if sitting outside...

My girlfriend and I had a great stay at Luz En Yucatan. We stayed for 2 nights in the poolside room, which was in the back corner of the courtyard. So nice coming out for a dip in the sun soaked pool early in the morning and relaxing in the hammock on the balcony. The bedroom is connected via the...

Well I have been to Mexico many, many times and I have done all the usual vacations with staying at resorts in Cancun big ones and small ones - three star to five star and then I moved on to staying in Playa del Carmen, a smaller resort town about 45 minutes from Cancun. However, some years back I decided...

This was my husband and I second time In Merida in 2 months, we loved it so much. What a charming laid back retreat! Our room was so spacious with all you need, including a couple of cold beers in the fridge on your arrival! Bathroom was spacious and spa like. Our room overlooked pool area and courtyard but we...
