The hacienda is gorgeous and the food fantastic. We had two delicious entrees: the Yucatan long peppers stuffed with ground pork and beef with a white sauce and tomato sauce, and the Puc chuk with a side tomato salsa which was served with a black bean soup. I highly recommend it but make sure you arrive well before 6 pm...

Our local friends took us here for traditional dishes of the Yucatán. We shared several plates of various foods with tender meat, rich sauces, and a variety of spice levels. We visited with my family. Is is an old, nicely restored sisal hacienda, now operating a restaurant. It is very close from Merida downtown (15 minutes by car). A beautiful old building that has impressive architecture and is well maintained. The restaurant offers a range of food typical to the state of Yucatan.
