Great place, clean, safe beautiful. I've stayed 3 times. Beautiful views, great food and helpful staff. A secluded paradise in the Caribbean. Fairly close to shopping and Mayan ruins if you don't mind getting around on your own .

We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Paamul hotel in December 2015. It was exactly what we expected - a small, simple hotel, directly on the ocean, attached to a small community of expats. - We were steps from the water. Directly outside our patio, there was too much rock and coral to walk into the water easily, but a...

We stay in a condo a bit down the road in Puerto Aventuras, but always come to Paamul once or twice during the visit just to snorkel the wonderful reef and to enjoy some simple local food there at the restaurant. The place is usually crawling with locals--which is fantastic. The food is very inexpensive--and it is also extremely simple...

We were so excited about this place after seeing the reviews and website. It looked gorgeous. Talk about a bait and switch. Some describe it as "quirky" but I think they mean to describe the surrounding land where ex-pats live in trailers and hang out in their little private oasis. The hotel feels like their land's soul-less counterpart, built to...

We have been going to the area South of Cancun for the last 12 years. We found Paamul going to the dive shop there (which cant be beat!) After years of staying at local resorts near Paamul we made the leap and stayed at the hotel there. You will not be able to beat the view for the price anywhere...

We stopped by and had a snack at the bar. It is well designed, and staffed with friendly, helpful folks. Later, we walked the beach and found lots of shells. It was too windy for snorkeling. We think it would be fun to stay there next time we come to the Riviera Maya! Try the Ceviche!

Off the tourist beat, quiet with a dive shop and other activities. Enjoy the Caribbean without the noise and hordes of people that are in Playa, Tulum, Cancun. Great staff at all facilities. Best if you have a car but used colectivo's to travel.

Paamul is a hidden gem that a lot of people don't know about. Our two week vacation there was very relaxing and absolutely amazing. The rooms were very clean and spacious with two queen canopy beds, large shower, mini fridge and microwave. Had a lovely balcony that overlooked the ocean. It has a beautiful beach where you can snorkel out...

This is the most beautiful place in Mexico, but more than that it is like a second home. The staff at the hotel and restaurant treat you so well. The rooms are large and immaculate, restaurant is great and the staff are beyond nice. I have come here for over 12 years and I feel so safe I bring my...

So the place looks a bit like a hippy commune but the rooms are quite nice- large and well equipped, though our TV did not work and great little balconies. The staff is their best feature (. although we found Martin to be a little cold) and our guy who cleaned our room was excellent as was the office staff....
