Lovely, charming hotel right on in the heart of Playa del Carmen's tourist center. I had a great stay. Great room with a view of the ocean, great staff and an overall fantastic location. Highly recommend and will stay here again.
After a week at an all inclusive this hotel was the perfect end to a wonderful trip with my daughter. We have wanted to stay here for years after seeing it on 5th Ave. The location is perfect. Close to everything you cohld wnat hwre in Playa. Rooms are amazing, spacious and clean with the most comfortable beds. Our balcony looking into the courtyard was huge and perfect. The water pressure in the shower was amazing!! The two cats who live here are so friendly and sweet, it was always a treat to see them welcome us back to the hotel. We will most definitely be back soon.
The place is neat, clean, welcoming! The staff that is amazing........ makes you feel like Familia. The rooms are spacious, very cleaned and very comfortable. If you are looking for the many activities 5th Avenida offers through out the day, or go party at the many bars/restaurants at night, beach activities or just rest up, this is the place for you! I have stayed at many resorts in Cancun but this Hotel was great and cant wait to go back! Go and enjoy! Thank you Lunata Hotel Staff! You guys Rock!!!!!
I recently stayed at Hotel Lunata for a few days last week and had a great experience. The room was clean and had amazing a/c which was nice on a hot day. I loved the chair swing on the patio. Make sure you check out the roof with a view of the ocean and take time to admire the art throughout the property. I really liked that this hotel is located right on 5th Ave but the room was not noisy at night. It’s also very close to the beach!! The staff was nice and helpful. I definitely recommend this hotel.
Perfect location. Nice, small hotel with 10 rooms. It's on 5th ave, where all he action happens in Playa del Carmen. It's close to beach on the other side. Staff is very friendly. They will make you feel at home. If you need to know what to do they have good suggestions. If you need extra towels etc they were always ready to help.
Great location. Can walk to everything 5th has to offer. Stayed at all inclusive for few days and then went here. It was nice break, Small place so they made you fell like family. Manager and Bell man were great.and very helpful . My wife and I had room overlooking 5th. We loved it. Very clean ' Yes can get a bit loud but your on 5th ave. If you want quite get room facing court yard. Would definitely recommend this hotel
This is small, cozy hacienda-style Mexican hotel. If you want to be on the 5th avenida, short walk to the beach and the main entertainments, this is the hotel that would make you feel like home. Friendly staff, very clean, and provide great recommendations. Will come back with friends for sure:)
If you’re looking for a hotel right in the heart of Playa, Hotel Lunata fits the bill. The room was clean and decorated in an authentic Mexican style. Reception was very friendly and helpful. It does get a bit noisy with street music so make sure a bring earplugs. Note that there is no pool and the public beach is extremely crowded, but if you want well-run and inexpensive accommodations in the middle of the action, I highly recommend Hotel Lunata.
The front desk personal was welcoming and helpful with information we didn't know about places to go and recommendations. The place is nice, comfortable, cozy, and it looks like a traditional Mexican hacienda. It is really nice for the price you pay.
I fell in love with the photos of the hotel’s website and I wasn’t disappointed when I checked in. The hotel is incredibly cute and it’s an architectural oasis compared to all the ‘condos’ and Airbnb’s that have polluted Playa del Carmen. The colours and the friendliness of the staff makes up for the lack of a pool. You totally feel a bit of Mexicanity in this multicultural city. Each room has a modem so wifi isn’t a problem in case you’re looking to work from home as I was. It might be noisy if you book a room facing the 5ta Avenida but this is a challenge faced by all hotels In the city centre. I’d advise booking a room facing the garden and then you’ll be in paradise. Did I say that the colours of the hotel are to die for?
