The Barrio Latino is a wonderful, clean little place.. we loved the location.. easy access to 5th Avenue and only a few blocks from the beach. The people at the front desk were MOST helpful and accommodating. We also loved the free breakfast. The only complaint I would have is that they don't have televisions. Probably not an issue to...

Gracias Amigos! While we are still holding about the televisions ( we decided to avoid their noise 13 years ago and now we are still thinking about it, because laptop net books etc are able to stream movies and news), we really improved this December our Internet accesses, and if you carry a decent device, you will get a good...

I spent one week between October and November at the Hotel Barrio Latino. My booking experience was fast and good. I sent a first mail to enquiry about parking and wifi facilities, the answer was in hours and suggested me to enter the web page and book, like I did, a Superior room and mention the proposal of my travel...

Hi ! During last two years, three hotel chains opened the doors of their business accomodations. We think Playa is still small , and work still boring, and you can do better when sleeping downtown at a walking distance small Hotel with charme , ... parking lot, internet access, good a/c, where you can get a receipt too. Please keep...

I liked everything: the colors of the room, the perfect garden, the hammock. Very quiet but just 2 blocks from the busy 5th ave and 3 minutes walk to the beach. Cozy athmosphere, functional details, eco-friendly and above all: ultra-clean. Confy new beds, air con, refrigerator, safety box in the room. Super-professional staff, free calls to land lines worldwide, free...

Hey! Finally you noticed our effort to keep the cactuses and palms in the garden, despite of our beloved spaniel cockers Lola and mafalda, the birds, and the geckos...thank you! I am happy you were ok with the price, I think we manage a very good option in town, since we have been here last 13 years and since the...

Thank you Dallas! Did you try Manne's (German), Giallo Limone (Italian) or Las Brisas (Mexican Fish) ? The oldest Playa zone is great, I agree, and is still offering the original ambiance where people from everywhere simply fit. I still love it! I think is the safest area, too, since we know each other. Great to guest you too!

I can't say enough good things about Barrio Latino! The staff and owner are amazingly helpful with recommendations for so many things to do and good restaurants in the area. We stayed in the Caribbean room with the palapa style roof which was a perfect introduction to our holiday. It is slightly smaller than other rooms but has much more...

My girlfriend and I were taking a road trip across Mexico that landed us on the beaches of Playa Del Carmen. Exhausted, we stopped by a few hotels and hostels to see about accommodation. We decided on Barrio Latino. Between the price, it's friendly staff and quiet, charming rooms with hammocks outside the wooden windows. Breakfast was included (not much:...

The hotel has a nice atmosphere and a good location. Yes, they monitor the front, but thus there is a sense of security. And they do have wireless access, a big part of why we chose the hotel. However, they list a nice Palapa Caribbean room and on the internet choosing the pictures made it look the equal, the price...

Dear Caribbean, Californian Guest, thank you for staying with us. I think I understand your point of view. I agree when you say that the Caribbean is not like other rooms. As a matter of fact, starting from the name, it is something special ( I prefer to define it this way) because of the size, the roof, and the location....

Rooms are simple and comfortable. I like the colors and overall decor. The hammock outside the room is neat. The owners and staff are friendly. The whole place feels very laid back and relaxing, their dogs are some of the most relaxed creatures I have ever met. The court yard and breakfast area have lots of greenery and nice outdoor...

I think Hotel Barrio Latino is probably one of the best values in Playa del Carmen. The hotel itself is very charming and full of personality. I had read reviews about people in love with the shady courtyard and the individual hammocks outside of each room. While I didn't end up having time for my hammock, it was lovely to...
