We were on a budget so it was great to get our two rooms for $550 pesos per night each (the prices do vary according to season though). When we first arrived there was no-one in reception but we found someone quite quickly. The staff were very friendly and helpful when we checked in and also whenever we had any...

We arrived in Playa del Carmen with no booking, but had marked a few places in the Lonely Planet guide - Casa de las Flores was the first one we tried and we were delighted to find they had room. There were 4 of us, so we had 2 rooms. We got the slightly better rooms which had fridges. This...

We spent two nights at Casa del Flores and thought it was adorable. The room was perhaps the largest hotel room I've ever had with large windows and a very pleasant, simple decor set in a wonderful little courtyard. The outstanding feature is the detail put into decorating and housekeeping. After a five hour bus ride we smiled when we...

Just got back from a 2 week holiday in Playa yesterday- we spent the second leg of it at 'Casa'. We booked this accomodation several months beforehand and were very much looking forward to it. Upon arrival we were left in the reception for a good 10mins whilst the owner sat in the reception room gossiping with another lady. Checking...

Mixed up in a mixed up place, Playa del Carmen , from La Perla wearing modelesques to dreadlock mayhem. Now for the accomodation, on the plus side, very clean, very quiet, if your variation of quiet extends to the only interaction with the owner/manager is to hand over your money, you will love this.In fact this is usually my style,...

I took a group of high school students in mid-June and have never been treated so poorly in 15 years of directing student study tours. There was rarely anyone in the reception. The pool is tiny. My students were hassled by the owner's wife for being in the pool too much. As mentioned in other posts, there is no drinking...

Casa de Las Flores is a very nice hotel to stay in Playa. There are a few rooms in a quiet ambiance. You'll be 4 blocks from the main street (to the east), and a few streets from the "good" part of the 5th avenue (the part with less tourist's boutiques but more bars+restaurants), so you will not be really...

Although Casa de las Flores is a beautiful, hacienda-style accomodation, I was sadly disappointed that I paid $75 a night for a room that had one postage sized 'bath' towel--no hand towel, no washcloth, one tiny bar of soap, no shampoo or conditioner, NO DRINKING GLASSES! No joke! I had to buy one at a store to take my daily...

My wife and I found this little place about 5 minutes from the beach. Beatriz, the owner, and Paula, the manager, are delightful people. The photos don't do it justice. I think it's grown to 24 or 28 rooms now. We stayed in #11 (king size bed!)on the ground floor and in the new addition. In fact, we may have...

I had the pleasure of staying at Casa Flores in Ajijic on two occasions in Nov and Dec 2005. There are only 5 rooms, all distinctive. The first time we were in Room 3, very spacious with a garden sitting area outside the room. The second visit was in Room 4, upstairs with a commanding view of the mountains. Casa...
