Your best option is to take the shuttle to 5th Ave. PlayaDel Carmen where you will find more shopping than you handle. Be sure and bargain with the vendors. Pesos are more trouble than they are worth in my opinion
There are only a very small number of rooms that even have a peek of ocean view due to the mangroves between the resort and the beach . The only ones I noticed are on the Sunset side but next to impossible to get
