Stayed at Coco in early June with 2 other friends. We had 2 separate semi-beach front rooms and one of them had no working AC our first night. They tried to fix it to no avail so the 3 of us shared one king size bed in the other room since the hotel was full. They moved us to a new room the next day and that also didn't have working AC, though they were able to fix it. The staff (particularly Julian) were very apologetic and offered to comp one of our nights which we appreciated. We understand that Tulum is limited in when it comes to electricity and all the rooms had their AC working overtime which caused some issues. Once the AC situation was resolved it worked perfectly and we really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were rustic and charming, though don't expect any amenities. Being able to walk out of your room and right onto the beach was awesome. We loved the free breakfast at the restaurant next door - helped cure our hangovers! The location is perfect and close to a lot of the restaurants and nightlife. Beach: The beach club is really chill and doesn't feel as obnoxious as a lot of the other ones. Unfortunately the seaweed situation became so bad by our 3rd day we couldn't even swim in the ocean. Not Coco's fault, but since there's no pool it became pretty unbearable in the heat, so keep that in mind if you come during summer months. Coco was the only hotel that actually had people trying to rake up the seaweed each day, but it was just too much for them to keep up. Shame since the beach itself is beautiful. Tulum has been ruined by seaweed that comes during the hotter months...it was so bad you could barely walk on the beach. Overall Coco was a decent value for the money compared to other hotels. so I would return if the price is right.

This resort was like staying in a treehouse in the sand on the beach. The room was just so cute!! Whoever built out the ascetics of the room really has a good eye. We had a little canopy thing over our bed that had a glass window / door for the entire side of the wall in front of it that looked into the jungle and our balcony. Our balcony had two chairs a small table and a hammock. I walked around barefoot everywhere as the resort is completely in the sand. It was cool to walk through all the treehouse structure in the sand to get to the beach. The beach had hammocks and lounge chairs. There are two sides to the beach, you can hang out on the one side that has the lounge chairs and relax or you can go over to the beach club to get food and drinks (although they will serve you on the other side if you want). The shared bathroom was just adorable!! The sinks were conch shells. It had a big straw hut roof and ceiling fans with some music going in the background. Showers and bathrooms are very nice. They had big bottles of shampoo and conditioner which was nice because I always use more than the little mini bottle of conditioner. Lastly, the AC was excellent. Just an overall great ambiance.

The service was amazing, everyone in the team is very helpful! The only problem was te amount of sargasso in the sea, and there were other hotels with better cleaning Also in the first days the shower was too cold. Despite that, recommend!

From the minute we stepped onto the premises of Coco Tulum we were greeted by the super friendly staff! Julian, Rodrigo, and Itzia guided us and took care of our every need. They didn’t arrange the hotel shuttle to pick us up from the airport but they made up for it by upgrading us to an ocean front room as a courtesy for our first two nights. I highly recommend staying here when you plan your trip to Tulum. It is very conveniently located on that main road that has all of the main attractions. You will not regret your decision. Thank you very much again to the amazing staff at Coco for making our very first trip to Tulum, Mexico an unforgettable one! Until next time amigos!
