I stayed at Coco for three nights in Nov 2014. This place is gorgeous, laid back and right on the beach. The cabanas are simple and elegant. The place is designed for relaxation. By far the dreamiest spot on the strip.

You are literally on the beach. We stayed in #11 and were probably 50 yards from the water. The huts are very bare bones but they have all you need. The shared bathrooms were clean and only a 30 second walk. They were not an issue for me or my girlfriend. The massages next door are 1/2 as much as...

We stayed in Coco Tulum for 5 nights on the first leg of our Tulum trip. The rooms were really clean, the mattress comfy, the views excellent and the mosquitoes few. It was a bit of a bummer to have to trek to the bathroom - but they weren't far and the staff kept them clean with OCD fastidiousness which...

Our 9 nights in Cabana 3 at Coco were absolutely perfect. Cabana 3 is right on the beach, about 10 steps from the sea with an uninterrupted view of the sun rising each morning. It was really special and I'd really recommend this cabin. The porch area and hammock are amazing! Inside is quite basic, with a bed, mosquito net,...

Really liked everything about this place except getting used to shared bathroom facilities. They were well kept and we dealt with it, but I was not expecting that when we made the reservation. Otherwise the cabana we had was great, the location perfect, the beach one of the best kept in the area, the staff helpful and friendly. Restaurant was...

We stayed in Coco Tulum recently for 4 days and our trip was not as we expected. First of all, the map of the layout of the cabanas that is provided by the resort is very misleading. We chose to stay in zone 8/cabana 8 because the map led us to believe that we would have a view of the...

Dear Cherry, Thank you for your feedback, we are always eager to hear what our guests have to say about their experience with us. Concerning your opinion around the shared bathrooms, I have taken note on it, and have reinforced the watch. We actually have one person dedicated to clean the bathroom from morning to 10pm. As an eco-friendly hotel...

We stayed in a cabana directly on the beach (#6). The beach is perfect here. You can take endless walks along the beach, with beautiful ocean and jungle views along the way. Coco Tulum offers some really comfortable lounge chairs and hammocks on the beach, which combine perfectly with their beach food- and cocktail service. Shared toilets and bathrooms, but...

Wow! This place is not only in the best location but the cabanas are amazing, clean, big enough for 2 people and they have their own courtyard/balcony with a hammock and chairs not that I spent much time in the room when you have the most amazing beach only footsteps away. The room has a mosquito net which was awesome...

This place is paradise! The location is incredible - chilled, intimate, eco friendly, and has the prettiest part of the beach. We were in Cabaña 8, and fell asleep in the super comfy bed (or hammock) listening to the sound of the waves crashing on the shore. The service is top notch, from the maids, to the maintenance guys, to...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Coco Tulum Hotel is a boutique hotel at Tulum beach where you will find comfortable and stylish cabañas located a few steps from the ocean. Coco's restaurant, Juanita Diavola, churns out fresh pizzas from our brick oven and smoothies of fresh juices. The pasta is handmade in our kitchen, and the chef serves specialties like tuna and beef carpaccio. The relaxed ambience is perfect to sit with a glass of wine or meet some fellow travelers at the bar. Designed as an eco-village Hotel, we generate enough electricity to power all fans and low-wattage lights of the Hotel - much more would only contribute to the end of the world. Our two wind turbines and 24 solar panels generate more than 14,000 watts x day. ... more   less
