Their reception staff consists of uneducated thugs and the gift shop hostess was no where to be found. This hotel is old with lazy staff. Look for more newer more modern hotels with better service down the hotel strip. Amansala is not worth it.

I have moved here after a terrible stay at another hotel in Tulum. Booked the hotel for 3 nights and since my first visit to check the rooms and availability all the staff was so genuine and attentive that made me feel special! My background is Hotel Management and worked over 14+ years in the 5 star hotel world. This...

Beautiful setting and very pleasant staff. I traveled with a group for a yoga retreat. Really enjoyed being disconnected from technology and the amazing food they had. The accommodations are not posh, per se, but the vaulted thatch roof and small details made you feel very at home. The Mayan healing massage by Daniel was unlike any massage I'd had...

We really enjoyed our stay! Nice friendly staff and dogs around! They were building at the beachfront, but it didn't really bother us. The food was nice and a good service. We really enjoyed the yoga and the meditation as well.

This was my second time leading a yoga retreat at Amansala. The staff, Darlene especially, took such great care of us. The food is to die for. Honestly, I would go back there just for the food. Every meal is healthy, life-giving and plentiful. The staff is so friendly, fun, knowledgable and attentive. The venue is off the charts -...

I stayed at the resort for a yoga retreat. The highlights were the yoga, mediation and the food. The resort seems well run and the property is meticulously taken care of by the staff. HOWEVER, my room was terrible. It was located above the Employee office and next to their bathroom which means that it smelled like sewage most of...

I had such a good time at Amansala I didn't want to leave the grounds. It rained the first two days we were there with a group of 25. The staff at Amansala was very accommodating and on top of the situation the whole time. The food was amazing. They encouraged us to try other restaurants close by (I like...

We just got back from staying a week. It was so disappointing!!!!!! The beach was covered in garbage and tons of seaweed! It smelled so bad that getting into the water was not really an option. Our room was nice and opened to the beach but it rained and it flooded our room because you could not get a seal...

I stayed here with a group of 20 women or so for a yoga retreat. Our yoga classes were done by our instructors, not the hotel's, so this review is just of the hotel. The accommodations are very basic, but clean and pretty. If you are looking for a 5 star hotel with AC, this may not be for you....

i loved this resort in former visits, but the entire resort was full of trash as they remodeled ... the main deck has been removed, rooms are being renovated, trash and building material is everywhere - and yet there was no discount in rate ... in fact it was more expensive then ever ... not to mention there is so...
