Yes. No worries. Last December we found a/c came on automatically around 8pm and went off around 8am. Electricity was fine 24/7, but not many power points in room so you might want to take a suitable two- or three-in-one... More
Yes. No worries. Last December we found a/c came on automatically around 8pm and went off around 8am. Electricity was fine 24/7, but not many power points in room so you might want to take a suitable two- or three-in-one adapter if you need to power or charge more than one item. Generally light bulbs gave out little more than glow worms.

I did not feel any safety concerns in Tulum. It was wonderful. The beach is enclosed with rocks on either side and the beaches along the stretch all seem to be private belonging to hotels. Hope this helps
