My family and I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Don Diego de la Selva. The setting on the edge of town made for a peaceful stay. The hotel has a lush, beautiful garden and pool. Our room was very comfortable and had a lovely patio out back. The entire staff of the hotel was extremely accommodating and happy to...

This is a beautiful little place located a bit far from the main center of Tulum and some distance from the beaches and the resorts that are located there. But it's very special - like a little oasis with lovely vegetation and a nice pool,. They also raise bees ( the special blue-eyed Mayan ones called Melipona ) and do...

Due to a problem on another booking, we needed a place in Tulum for 3 nights....tonight! Found this little gem on Trip Advisor...called and they had what we needed. Keep a close eye out for their sign on the main road through town...a long block and then a tropical paradise. The hotel is brightly painted and sits snuggled into palms,...

We stayed here when in tulum 9 yr ago and have been eager to return. This is a fantastic place, gracious but unpretentious and surprisingly inexpensive. As other reviewers state it's got a terrific euromex vibe and the staff can't do enough for you. The restaurant is fabulous and the jungle setting is lovely. Rooms are spacious and well appointed....

Nicely run hotel on the southend of Tulum, very nice garden with with a good size pool. The hotel is situated in a side road with absolute no trafic and street noise. All you hear is dogs from the neighbourhood and chicken. But u will hear them anyway everwhere in town! Rooms are large, clean, lots of hot water, and...

Enchanting. We stayed 3 nights and we really enjoyed our stay. Thenroom was clean, and the grounds well kept and beautiful. In the evening it was like walking around in a tropical dream. The on site restaurant is good and we ate their each night. The waiter, Marco is wonderful and made us feel at ease and took care of...

A wee way on the edge of town but really not an issue as only a short walk to lots of choice for food, or you can eat in at the restaurant which was very good. (Closed wed) . Breakfast simple but fresh with a choice of eggs anyway or fruits and yogurt and muesli, nice coffee. Thank you to the...

Out of the way hotel, but pleasant location and staff. Breakfast was good, but not over the top. Rooms were clean, bright and king size bed was very comfortable. There is no TV, which I found was nice. Their wifi was good. Grounds are jungle like and you will find chickens and rooster on the property. Also have local Mexican...

If you're to stay in the town of Tulum for a couple of days, then stay at Don Diego de la Selva. It's a bit off the center (but within 10 mins walking distance), but it's worth it just to escape the noise and busy nightlife of Tulum, without actually having to sacrifice it all together. It's the best of...
