This resort has a lot going for it. Sadly, it has serious administration issues. It brands itself as Unlimited Luxury, which couldn't be father from the truth. It's ideally located within minutes of several natural attractions, like cenotes, the archaeological area of Tulum, the town of Tulum and so much more. The colonial architecture is attractive and the gardens are beautiful and well maintained. The staff (waiters, waitresses, bartender) is friendly and welcoming. The experience declined however from the time you enter the lobby to check in. The front desk tries every way to upsell room upgrades at outrageous prices. Then you're greeted by your friendly Vacation Club sales person who will offer an insignificant recompense for the time you'll spend listening to their sales pitch. We declined. The rooms are in serious need of plumbing and electrical overhaul at the very least. They are clean but outdated and in disrepair. The beach furniture is badly worn out as well as other outdoor furniture. The food at the buffet World Café is average and repeats every day ( we were here 6 days). The waiting staff is apologetic and embarrassed they can't provide better services. Basic things like juice, coffee, butter, fruit are rationed and often unavailable or in shirt supply. Some days several restaurants are closed. Waiting times can be up to two hours. The a "Themed Gourmet" restaurants are a beginners attempt at cooking. They need a real Cheff and comprehensive training for the staff who have no idea what the names of the dishes mean or what is in it. If it is not written in the menu, it doesn't exist. The beach is very rockie and dangerous for swimming, y can easily injure a foot or worse. The area labeled "Swim Area" is the worse. Clearly the resort director never tried setting foot in the water. Many guests complained about these same things during our stay. With so many great choices in the area, in would not recommend this resort until a new Director and new management fix the fundamentals and the rooms are upgraded. We made the best of our time here and had a very nice vacation in wonderful Tulum and surrounding attractions. We put aside our expectations for luxury and accepted the Dreams for what it is. We rented a car for additional flexibility. This was another plus because we avoided the Dreams overpriced tours. Another compliment goes out to the entertainment staff. We enjoyed the shows and the dancing at night. If the management is reading, please pay attention. Future guests and your staff will thank you.

I understand Covid has hit a lot of places hard and I'm assuming this is what I ran into at this resort. Just read any other review and they are all true. Anyone who had a great time just enjoys the drinking amenities and is looking for the club vibe this place gives off. Don't know who finds romance here as there was a lot of singles enjoying the property as well. Maybe that's what the Dream(s) is all about! Food was subpar, service was great if you were getting a drink the rest of the staff seemed upset. Especially the hostesses at the restaurants. Too many vendors hanging out every night to sell you the same stuff everyone else sells at the excursions. Huge time issues all over as when restaurants were open for meals. Check-in/out process to sell you a time share for a resort you just arrived at seems odd, VIP services means they just want more money. The only thing missing was someone looking for me to buy snake oil.

Loved most things, except high pressure sales pitch which is not fun, and excessive cost .Property is beautiful, and well maintained. All Restaraunts were good except Seaside grill. Ordered Ribs, which were lackluster. And T Bone Steak was too tough to cut or eat.
