My boyfriend and I stayed at Tranquilo two years ago and we came back again this Thanksgiving for a week. The garden was even more beautiful than I remembered, with many fruit trees. The reception person Evarasito is always helpful and courteous, and we hung out a lot with the staff. We stayed in the cheapest cabana, which was small...

What a wonderful stay, clean, friendly, more then helpful. When our rental car broke down the owner "Peppy" took us to the beach no charge and then he went fishing. We spent the day swimming in the most beautiful water this side of the Pacific. Peppy showed up later and asked us if we wanted a ride back to Rancho...

We only stayed one night and had a car so could get to the beach, otherwise the location isn't so good if it's the beach you want. The room was spacious with a beautiful hand basin in the bathroom. There was a king sized bed and a single, so lots of room, and a lovely porch area outside. We found...

If you are the type to book a tour, this might not be the place for you, but if you like to hang out and have beers and find interesting people to talk to (in English) then you might just fall in love with this place.

yes, the garden is beautiful. The owners do a great job maintaining it. Otherwise, no reason to stay there. Rooms are poorly maintained (fridge didn't close; torn mosquito net) and noisy. Don't expect your room to be serviced during your stay, and forget about using your own alarm, as there will be rooster waking you up. The kitchen is well...

We stayed here for four nights. The gardens are lovely, the kitchen clean and well stocked, the communal showers clean. Compared to other areas of Mexico we found this expensive and the cabana really small with just enough space for the double bed. The bed was four thin foam mattresses stacked on top of each other and not very comfy!...

We stopped here as we needed a place to crash for one night. The place was pretty interesting. The owner, who speaks Maya, Spanish and Boston English, was very nice. The cabanas are in a beautiful garden setting. The place has a communal kitchen and grilling area, as well as internet, books and games available. We stayed in a regular...

I stayed at Rancho Tranquilo for 2 full weeks, and I wish I could have stayed longer. When I get back to Tulum, it will be my first stop. The owner and employees were friendly and generous, and I was very comfortable in my palapa hut. No mosquitos at all. There was sometimes noise from the highway and the bar...

I don't understand how other people have had a good experience here. We were three people staying in a cabana. The sheets and blankets smelled awful. At night someone next door to the hostel was playing really loud music all evening, and a rooster woke us up each dawn. We booked a tour of Hidden Worlds Cenotes through the hostel...
