We were led to this auberge by the splendid reviews on trip advisor and were not disappointed. The rooms are unmodernised, but comfortable enough and spotlessly clean. The joy of staying here is meeting the hostess Odile, who makes you very welcome and speaks fluent English, French & German. We stayed two nights and had two impeccable meals at a...

Gracious and enormously helpful hostess, superb food, comfortable rooms. A delight. We were the only guests for some of the time and it was a privilege to share so much time with the owner, who is wholly committed to ensuring her guests are looked after impeccably.

Having spent some time in email conversation with Mme Petre before booking, I was expecting a good stay with good food. Totally surprised at just how good it all was, the hotel was lovely in a great setting, and the food was beyond reproach, as was the local wine served with it at a very accommodating price. Mme Petre is...

We stayed for just a single night on a very long road trip. This was one of our best nights we spent anywhere on the trip. A warm welcome by Mme Petrie, we arrived earlier than we had anticipated, followed by wind-down bottle wine before a truly splendid dinner. Mme Petrie used to cook professionally at the Institut Francais in...

We stayed at this lovely spot for just one night as a stopover on our walk along the Chemin de St. Guilhem. I only wish our stay could have been longer. Our hostess, Mme. Odile Petrie, was extremely gracious and has furnished this auberge with discrimination and taste. We were welcomed in the garden with cold drinks, and later enjoyed...

I loved this spot. The rooms are simple, but spotlessly clean, and inexpensive. The garden (with small private pool) is a delight, and the staff are very, very friendly and very helpful. (Odile speaks perfect English if you would rather not practice your French.) If you want peace and quiet, in a lovely, tranquil setting, with views over wooded hills,...

Didn't stay here but came across by accident. Food absolutely excellent with lots of local dishes. Limited somewhat by the season. I will be there again in August. Can't wait to visit when I return and sample the local dishes available then.

Rooms are simple but spotlessly clean and adorned with tastefull paintings. Nice views on the valley below, cool little garden and pool (best suited for soaking up than for swimming). The food is superb : using first rate ingredients, sophisticated, varied, healthy and cooked with love and intelligence. The owner has an engaging personality. Always willing to help, anxious to...

We stayed in 12 different hotels/auberges on a 15 day tandem (cycle) tour of this area of France and our two nights here were the best of all for the welcome, the ambience, full use of sitting/library room, local beer and wine and, most especially, the excellent quality of the vegetarian meals cooked by Odile, who really understood (surprising how...
