My experience was very good at this location. I would recommend it to any of my friends. I would be happy to bring my family members to stay at this location in Tampico. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Great hotel, centrally located in Tampico. Very clean, secure with amenities for the whole family. The pool is a great way to relax after a hot day touring the city. And the breakfast brunch is absolutely the best one in the city! Great value for the price.
The HS Hotsson Tampico used to be from the Camino Real chain until 2019. This is a classic hotel in Tampico with good location, nice gardens and lovely swimming pool. However, the service from HS Hotsson Management is not good. I stayed for 3 nights, and the problem is with the time for cleaning the room. On my second day here , came back to the hotel al 11.30 Hrs and the room was not clean yet. I had to call to ask for cleaning service. But on the secon day, situation was even worst, as at 13.25 Hrs still the room was not clean. I had to call 2 times to ask for the room to be cleaned. During one of the calls, I asked for the Hotel Manager and was explained that as it was Sunday the manager was not in the Hotel. My room ended up clean at 13.50 Hrs. This is sub-standard for a hoitel supposed to be of this quality, This is not the fault of the cleaning lady, but from the Hotel Management that do not have enough staff to complete these duties. So if during an stay here you plan to return to your room after 18.00 Hrs , this is not an issue. But if plan to return around noon keep this in mind,…
Good service overall by both front desk and accommodation. Fast check in and check out. Good breakfast and enjoy my stay here. Room was tidy, clean and comfortable. Everything works except there is no water heater.
Hospitality at the front entrance while checking temperature could be improved with warm welcome and with respect. Restaurant’s food option could add more variety to suit international food requirements (for each religion) and services could be better
Friendly and helpful staff at the reception, check-in was real easy and quick. First impressions is a really nice hotel, probably one of the better ones in Tampico. The rooms are a bit dated and dog eared in places, but very clean and well looked after from the cleaning staff. The fridge in the room held water, juice and beer. The staff would come round daily and refill the fridge for free, or call them to replenish anytime. The shower was really powerful and good. The amenities at the hotel are pretty limited with a small size pool and lounge area, and a small gym on the first floor. There is a bar (pretty dead and empty) and a restaurant that served good food, but again a bit soulless. The empty bar and soulless restaurant could be down to the Covid restrictions, with social distancing and 9 pm closing times? There is a nice coffee shop in the reception area that was pretty good, and nice place to people watch. Overall a nice clean professional hotel, but the Covid restrictions dampened the hotel's true spirit.…
Hotel rooms is very clean and tidy Restaurant service is smooth and quick response Hotel front desk are very approachable Pool is very clean.telephone operator is a very quick response......restaurant having a very nice food and freshly serve to the guest.
The hotel is located in Avenida Hidalgo, it used to be the Camino Real Tampico. The customer service has always been amazing, but now it is definitely out of this world. The grounds and the pool are luscious and well maintained. The hotel is aging, but they keep it clean and they are slowly renovating it. The rooms are large, and very clean
Perhaps the neighborhood does not justify this little jewel in Tampico. Checkin was good even with my limited Spanish. Room was large spacious and everything in place. Food was just as good -maybe I was hungry? There is a pool and a gym too. But what stands apart is the wonderful welcome decoration they had in the foyer.
Hotel is an old building, and as a result it's dated. The floor carpets are badly in need of change. The rooms are adequate in size, as are the bathrooms. A good bonus though, is the quality of the bed. Large and solid enough to provide back support etc.. There is a nice pool and lounge area. Is shallow at one end, which means it's safe for kids. You won't train for the Olympics, but it's a great place for the family. The staff are friendly, but some maybe too long in the same job. They do things the Mexican way, which means they are in no hurry. Many don't speak English, this is frustrating for the guests, at times. The restaurant food is good. The breakfast is excellent, as good as anywhere I've been. You will get value for money, and a good night's sleep. It's not the best hotel, but overall, the pros outweigh the cons.…
