El staff del hotel nos dio malísima información cuando sobre habitaciones dobles y tuvimos que pagar extra. Staff was very rude had gave us wrong information about our reservation and we ended up paying more money. I could of paid a way better hotel with the amount that they charged us.

We were traveling thru Tampico with our family on our way to Belize. We stayed at this Hotel and had a great and enjoyable stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful. You do need a GPS to simplify getting there after dark.

My wife and i loved staying there!; it is a very unique and comfortable place for the economic price they charge! It's near everywhere in Tampico; the restaurant and it's food it's excellent. They got a nice pool, rooms and lobby. They have free wifi and a huge parking lot. We will defenitely stay there every time we visit Tampico.

Had a great time in tampico staying at grand royal . great located hotel with yummy restaurant & breakfast included, the rooms were spacious with a view to the pool and balcony, felt like a princess, the bathrooms are exquisite... I'll come back...

Me & my wife stayed some days ago in this Hotel and liked it very much.., it has an excelent location in Tampico; it's near the beach, infront of the airport, Ciudad Madero, Tampico's downton & altamira.., in it's prinpcial avenue.., the price it's very nice.., the rooms are very clean and nice though, nice pool, excelent food and service in general.., i would trully recommend you this place when you travel to Tampico.. i will always return back when travelling Tampico!

I was disappointed with the greeting when we walked into the hotel. the front desk seemed annoyed and less then pleased to find our reservation. there seemed to be a lack of experience there. the first room that we were sent to was filthy and was the very last room in the hotel on the top floor in the second building. the hallway was filled with dirt and the lights were broken and hallway walls were cracked. the second room we were sent to had a disgusting dirty stained rug on the floor. we called twice to request an iron and each time we were denied, eventhough it clearly stated in the room that if one should request one that the staff would be pleased to send one up. overall i was very disappoint in the cleaniness and attentivness of this establishment and would not stay there again. they should find a new manager and new cleaning service. …

Saw the review from 3/2005 and thought it would be good for one night. It is close to the aiport. However in 13 months it has aged a lot. Arrived about 10 pm and there wasn't a resturant open or close by, While they advertise internet (another reason I chose this hotel) it was not available in the "tower" where they had vacancies. The desk clerk was very kind and did finally find a room with wireless access. BUT it was on the second floor, next to an unlocked door to the outside, and the "hotel" next door has rates advertised by the hour! The drop in ceiling over the shower was falling in from the black mold, the carpet had seen a few parties too many and the window did not open to allow any "fresh" air. But with the air conditioner on full blast, work got done and the beds were comfortable. Not cheap but reasonable. Breakfast in the am was fine. So no stars.... …

As a sales traveller I often visit Tampico. On my last visit I discovered this little gem. Its located in front of the airport, ten minutes away from Miramar Beach in Madero and midway between Altamira's Industrial Corridor and Tampico's Downtown. The places is brand new, heck, they havent even finished the whole place. Rooms are clean and spacious with cable tv, AC, and internet access. Some rooms have views of the airport, other of the pool area. The restaurant food is great, altought they are still finishing some decorations. Other ammneities are an undergorund parking place, pool, bar, restaurant and a very nice discoteque "Pravda". I will certainly return to Grand Royal, and will certainly recommend it.
