I just returned from a 12-night stay at "la Casa de la Noche" in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, and it was a super-wonderful experience. A beautiful building with lovely folk art all over the place, delicious and plentiful breakfasts, friendly and helpful owner and employees, and a location that is both fairly quiet and also close to the historic...

Casa de la Noche is on the sight of a famous bordello, The owner, Barb, has longingly restored this place into a premier B and B. The common area is lovely, outdoor and indoor space is available. Traditional Mexican artifacts decorate the spaces. The guest rooms are comfortable and very clean. The food is wonderful and plentiful. Barb will do...

Our stay at Casa de Noche was perfect. We spent 2 nights in Madam's spacious suite over Christmas holidays. The whole place is charming and comfortable with many common areas to relax. The staff was pleasant and helpful, even finding out how to change bus tickets for our return to Mexico City. The owner, Barbara, is quite personable and attuned...

You know the kind of place you stay that's beautiful but soul less? Casa de la Noche is NOT such a place. I had the good fortune to stay here during late November 2014 and felt an immediate connection to San Miguel and its people BECAUSE of Casa de la Noche. Under the care of Barbara, owner and Miguel, a...

We were enchanted by the facility, the delicious breakfasts, and the friendly, helpful staff at Casa de la Noche. There are surprises to be found at every turn including lovely nooks and crannies with artwork and flowers in abundance. When the staff learned it was my birthday, they made it special. When we come to San Miguel de Allende again,...

I booked this property based on the glowing reviews on TripAdvisor and based on the cost... considerably less than a lot of the higher end hotels in the area. To say, the least, we were not disappointed. This was better than I anticipated and the owner, Barbara, was delightful. The room we were in, La Turca's, was the madam's quarters...

I had the pleasure of spending the week of December 7-14, 2014, at the Casa de la Noche in San Miguel de Allende. With only 14 guest rooms, the Casa is more of a guest house than a hotel, which is exactly what visitors to San Miguel should want. It’s located on a quiet street that’s no more than a...

I made a mistake filling in the "bubbles" in my first review. I wanted to state again how terrific Casa is, how professional and helpful the staff is and how wonderful the owner, Barbara Poole, is. I would go back any time to this magical city and always stay at Casa de la Noche. It personifies all that is wonderful...

My home is your home ... but with Barbara Poole and her staff, Casa de la Noche is something to aspire to! What Barbe has accomplished in turning this former 'working establishment' into a welcoming, charming, warm, comfortable bed and breakfast in the historic city of San Miguel de Allende is truly outstanding. The staff is welcoming, extremely helpful and...

“Our room, called "Kiss Me Again," was really a full suite shared with one other room. It had a kitchen, dining area, and living room, all overlooking one of the central courtyards with fountain. It turned out to be a good gathering place for small parties. Our bedroom had a gas-logs fireplace which we used on cool nights. ”

“We stayed in the Hummingbird room in a courtyard off the main area. Very quiet and a few feet from a lounge and kitchen area equipped with cooking and refrigerator facilities as well as a TV. The latter was most welcome for U.S. news and viewing of the National Championship football game.”
