We have stayed in many beautiful and elegant places over the years, but this was truly special and happy, exceeding our wildest hopes. Hosts Heidi and Bill designed and built this unique set of welcoming rooms and decorated with impeccable taste, drawing largely on the best of local artesanel talent and the extraoardinary collection of masks acquired during Bill's efforts...

We loved Casa de la Cuesta the moment we arrived....the owners, Heidi & Bill were warm and welcoming. Our room was delightful and we had a view of the town from our terrace. Bill has a world class mexican mask museum and he gave a very insightful tour that we thoroughly enjoyed. They arranged transport to and from the airport,...

What a fantastic spot and wonderful hosts! We were in town for a wedding over a long weekend and were actually able to learn something about Mexican culture. Our wonderful hosts, Bill and Heidi, possess such a wealth of knowledge about the history and art of Mexico and were more than willing to share it at a moment's notice. Staying...

We spent 10 days in this wonderful place. We loved the environment, the location, the owners and the breakfasts! Heidi and Bill and lovely and generous. The art in the B & B is spectacular. We plan on returning as soon as we can. We can't imagine staying anywhere else.

They didn't get their high ranking on this site for nothing! Like others have noted, the house is beautiful, gourmet breakfasts are awesome, rooms are lovely and immaculate. But what really did it for us was the fact that Heidi and Bill create an environment in where the beauty doesn't upstage the personality of the place or it's people. I...

Casa de la Cuesta is the place to stay in San Miguel! A group of us stayed here for a friend's wedding and we loved it. Each room is different and beautifully decorated. The owners, Bill and Heidi, are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about San Miguel. The breakfast alone is worth the stay. We cannot say enough good things about...

Staying at Casa de Cuesta was amazing! We stayed in the Milagros room which was amazing and also had the chance to check out the other guest’s rooms who were also attending the wedding we were all attending. Each room was wonderful, very comfortable and extremely clean. We also enjoyed sitting outside in the various courtyards during our stay and...

If you are going to San Miguel, this is the place to stay, hands down! Bill and Heidi are fabulous hosts, the accomodations are wonderful, and the breakfasts are to die for! We enjoyed sitting out on their many patios with wine and beer from the honor bar! Even the walk into town wasn't that bad -- certainly worth it...

Our first visit to Mexico's interior, Casa de la Cuesta was worth the trip alone. To call it a Bed & Breakfast is an injustice. The breakfast is worth the entire price. This beautiful "home' is chock full of interesting art, tapestry, color and authenticity. If not for the scrap book depicting its construction in 1998 one would swear it...

For personalized attention, comfort and the best of traditional Mexican ambience, Casa de la Cuesta can't be beat! It's worth visiting San Miguel just to stay at Casa de la Cuesta. From the moment you arrive in the van arranged by Heidi and Bill, the owners, you enter a home of beautiful, colorful decor, comfortable rooms and spacious patios for...
