Our stay during the month of September at Susurro was exceptional. Although our stay was short, it was well lived. The property is so well made at times we did not want to leave the house. You appreciate the homes architecture and amenities. Susurro’s details are what make a well-experienced traveler enjoy everything it has to offer. It’s beds would... More

My partner and I stayed at Sussuro for two nights during our mid-summer visit to the San Miguel region and loved it. We've been guests at a number of small, boutique-style hotels throughout the world and I can honestly say that Susurro ranks in our top ten. Robert is a wonderful host, and has created a completely satisfying experience for... More

From the moment I entered, I knew I had made the right decision. My room the first night, Musico, was spacious and incredibly gorgeous. I loved the sunny terrace, the beautiful doors throughout, the hidden TV (see if you can find it), the bathroom (WOW!), the hidden skylights, the brick floors and the complimentary fine tequilla in the room. The... More

I stayed at Sussuro for two nights during my last San Miguel stay. It is only a short walk to either the Jardin or Juarez Park, depending upon which direction you want to travel. It is centrally located in San Miguel, which is key when you are visiting there as some of the hotels and B&Bs require cab transit to... More

My wife and I recently visited San Miguel De Allende in Guanajuato, Mexico. It was a very enjoyable experience; the people, the art, and the historical town were everything and more that we were told it was going to be. We are raving to everyone that we meet about what a great vacation we had. One of the reasons for... More

This is a beautiful property done with style and taste. We stayed in the Pinas room and the bed was extremely comfortable and the room had a lot of natural sunlight. There were Ralph Lauren towels and toiletries from Bath & Bodyworks. The breakfast consisted of delicious fresh fruit and traditional Mexican dishes that were better than most Mexican restaurants... Susurro is a beautiful place to stay. With only 4 rooms, it is very quiet and intimate. Other than at breakfast we never saw or heard another guest. It felt like we were in our own private villa. The rooms are incredible. We stayed in Musico our first night and loved it. The terrace offered a great view of the... More

This small yet charming B&B exudes both warmth and elegance. With only four bedrooms, there is an intimacy that gives visitors the sense of being in their own private Mexican villa. Three of the four rooms have terraces with views and gas-log fireplaces. Our room Los Reyes had two terraces. The owner, Robert Waters is an accomodating host who works... More

A month ago my other half and I were in need of some R & R, and after looking into several destinations decided to go to San Miguel de Allende, having read about it in a couple of travel oriented books on Mexico. The allure of colonial Mexico instead of the touristy beach destinations led us to check some of... More

“All the rooms are good. They are located at the back a classically restored colonial in a quiet residential neighborhood in centro. The exception is the fabulous La Parada restaurant two doors away.”

“They're all good, but for absolute serenity and solitude, I prefer Jardin, which, in addition to the bedroom, has a glassed-in 'sun-room' area w/bed. Great for writing or meditating.”
