Myself and two friends stayed here one night during the 4th of July weekend. We stayed in a room with a double and side cot. It was a really cute place to stay and was exactly what we were looking for. The bed was comfortable (although I'm not picky), the AC worked great (it was a newer in room wall...

At $35 a night the deal can't be beat. The young couple that now manages the place is helpful and hospitable. For us, it was a great alternative to high-cost house rentals and prefabricated resorts that are separated from town. The location is indeed perfect, within walking distance to the marina, bars/restaurants, and a market. The place is as cute...

A nice property with great potential. Unfortunately after traveling for days, our requirements include a comfortable bed and adequate water pressure for showering! I understand the owners plan to upgrade which might make it possible to return to this property. Great location.

I'll start out this review with a disclaimer: I'm not a fan of camping and yet I'm okay with basics when it comes to amenities. My husband was reasonably satisfied with the room for the price, and I guess I could honestly say it was no better or worse than I expected for $30 USD per night, far cheaper than...

Dean and Lorena know San Carlos well and can help you find what you need in and around town, even if you don't speak Spanish. Rooms are basic but clean and solid: each comes with a full kitchen. Great for long stays. It's also convenient to town and the marina, so you can walk to groceries and restaurants and boat...

My husband and I have stayed at this inn several times over the past 6 years and will keep coming back! The rooms include an efficiency kitchen and eating bar so we can prepare our meals with local produce, seafood and freshly caught fish The outdoor common living area is a glorious way to spend a lazy afternoon or evening....

We loved this place. Simple, clean, and beautiful. It was close to the marina, to the beach and to restaurants. Couldn't ask for a more pleasant and economical way to spent a vacation. We also had a great time visiting our daughter and her friends. We went sailing, snorkeling and shopping.

We stayed at Posada del Desierto in November 2009. We were looking for a "real Mexican motel" and we found it there, bare, simple, clean, hospitable, safe. It is near the Marina, where we wanted to be. Juan Carlos and his dog El Guero were very welcoming. We thank them. We will stay there again, if they have a room...

Just got back from 10 days in San Carlos, and we very much enjoyed every day of it. I'd like to write a 5-star review for the hotel we stayed in -- "Posada del Desierto" but they're not listed on tripadvisor and I can't figure out how to add them. Anyways, I was dead against staying in a Best Western...
