For only 50k you get a basic room that seemed like it has had it's best time years ago. You can see through the floor. For me it was the first time to have a room with a non-flushable squatting toilet. The view is amazing though!

A nice place with phenomenal views across the river. I know there are some basic rooms here (the 50,000kip rooms have rattan walls, squat toilets, cold water scoop showers etc.)- but the ones for 100,000 are pretty decent. Gorgeous views, hot water, and pretty warm in the cold nights. You can arrange a discount for longer stays, too. Just don't...

Stayed in a wooden hut with a lovely view across the river. The price was 60,000 kip for twin beds with private bathroom - 30k each is a bargain in Nong Khiaw as far as we could tell. There are also rooms higher up the hill (which were more substantial bungalows) for 120k per night. Generally, we enjoyed the stay...

Very very cheap. Nice view. Room is very simple though. The bathroom smelled a little. But the beds were big and the fan worked very good. I did have some bugs in my bed but that could have been a coincidence. No WiFi in the room but good WiFi in the restaurant/lobby.

Picked to stay here due to the outrageous view across the river towards that dramatic mountain. Best view in town if not in Se Asia! Took one of the cheap bungalows-40k. Felt like camping in an 80 year old mountain shack so I kind of liked it. If you don't like roughing it though expect a squat toilet, termite demolished...

Nice place to stay as it is cheap and you have your balcony, however you will have to deal with the fact that (in the cheapest room) they don't have sink and not a Western toilet. There is only fan (which was OK with me as in the night the temperature drops. The view is really nice and there are...

The Sunrise Bungalows offers a variety of rooms from very basic to more modern rooms and bungalows. I stayed for two nights in a basic private bungalow ($8 in April), that had a hot shower, without a sink or a toilet that flushes. A bucket is provided for flushing the toilet with water, which is quite common in parts of...

We stayed her for one night. The view is great but it is the only good thing about the place. The bungalow was really dirty, the mosquito net smelled awfull, we found pappers and used soap everywhere and staff are not nice at all. The reception appears to be non existent but you can do the check-in in a restaurant...

We stayed in the sunrise guest house for three nights, cause we loved the village and the view from our balcony. We paid 100.000 Kip for our 3-bed-room, which was really cheap and the owners were really kind. Go mountain biking to the villages and try Indian food!
