We have enjoyed whale watching at Glacier bay and Catalina Island and enjoyed seeing many whales but never like these. I don't know why, but here the whales want to be petted. There is no other explanation for the way they come to the boats and raise their heads out of the water. We drove our pickup camper (4X4). It...

How could 4 days and three nights feel like so much more? Kuyima was everything I had hoped for, and much much more. I wanted, after so many disappointing whale watching trips elsewhere, finally to see whales. And that we did, every day. We saw mother and babies, we saw courtship rituals, and the last day our boat was approached...

We spent the 3-day min here and it was an incredible experience! Friends took this 2nd trip down after having been the year before and it was magical! Thoughtful and knowledgeable staff, updated accommodations, safe boats, hot water, local food which was cooked incredibly and they honor any and all dietary needs. Always watching teh weather, entertain the crowd no...

this is a real Eco lodge; it is really well run and everything is recycled and Eco efficient. We were really impressed. The staff are really nice and speak good English. The food was excellent. We couldn't recommend this more highly.

Kuyimá is an AMAZING business!! Where to start? When they picked us up at their office, they were punctual. Very nice drive to Bahía San Ignacio with a lot of mountains. Their campsite is very nice and clean. You can bring your own tent for $15.00/$20.00(I forgot, went last year 2014) a night. They even loaned me tent stakes for...

We did not want to leave. Lauda, Ramon, Fernando were all very friendly, always smiling, helpful and made us feel at home. The campground was spotless & well kept. The food was yummyyy.....scallops and garlic are the best!!!!! We will send all our friends to them to camp for an affordable whale watching life changing experience.

We didn't sleep here. We had a camp at another beach 5 miles away in our RV. We got the best price from Kuyima and liked the location for the start point of a whale trip. We liked their set up (restaurant, recycling, solar) and we would definitely stay there if we came to San Ignacio without our own RV....

We have done a lot of nature travel and this camp and our experience there exceeded our expectations. The place really is remote. The cabins are small - just a couple of extra feet wide would make a big difference, and the bathrooms and showers are a bit of a walk and 'rustic' but they're environmentally friendly. Still, we were...

We went with a group and all stayed in our own tents in the campground area. It is very windy so go prepared to set up and sleep with the wind whipping the sides all night long. I wish I would have taken ear plugs. I slept in a tent with my car blocking the wind a bit, my daughter...

I guess to just echo the other comments here...my time with Kuyima in San Ignacio made my entire month-long trip across Mexico. Also, 100% worth making the trek out to San Ignacio in lieu of other whale watching spots - I guarantee that you won't be disappointed. And I loved Mexico. But Kuyima provided an incredible atmosphere, unparalleled hospitality and...
