Stayed one night as our mid point during our tour of the Cabot Trail... Pleasant Bay is a very small town but we were able to enjoy a lovely sunset at the near by beach... the Mountain View Motel is as shown... quaint and simple old style, but well kept and very clean and our room had new furnishings and...

We went for thanksgiving weekend, the leaves were changing so there was a beautiful view from the entire property. The rooms were spacious but dated and the heat did work, dated rooms but decorated well and yes they do take dogs and have an old tennis court where they don't mind if you take your dog for a run so...

The motel was probably pretty nice fifty years ago, but unfortunately, not much has been done since then to maintain it. Before I even entered the room, I saw the paint peeling off the door of room #1 and I knew I was not in for a good surprise. The furnishings inside the room date from the early 60s at...

There's really not much (lodging) to choose from in this remote location, but I had kind of hoped for something nicer. But it wasn't bad, just dated from the 1960's. The restaurant was adequate but nothing special.

I really want to rate this place higher, but find that I can not. There are too many negatives to ignore completely. For example, the bed was soft, and sagged into the middle. The satellite TV worked for a total of five minutes over the course of three nights. We were not given any room service after our second night....

What can I say, quite a lot actually. The toilet flush was broken, had to resort to opening up the cistern, big mistake, mould inside. The shower head was missing the trickle of water kept stopping. The sink was partially blocked. I really do not want to think about the bedroom again. Let's just say that whilst it may have...

The people at the motel were extremely helpful. My partner and I came extremely late (10PM) to check in, not only did the service staff waited for us. They also provided us food from the closed kitchen as they realized we weren't able to get food since all the resturant around closed before 8pm. Very budget friendly, and the rooms...

The people were great. Motel is showing its age, but what the hey, we were only staying one night. Door, didn't quite fit and the Chinese family next door were very loud. We had breakfast the next day and found that they nickel and dime you for everything, home fries was extra, that sort of thing. Stayed in worst places....

This was our cheapest accommodation and though it's not a 5-star hotel, the staff was friendly. There was ample parking and the location is also very good for exploring the Cape Breton park and all of its hiking trails. There is also a good restaurant nearby, the Rusty Anchor, that has great outdoor seating where we enjoyed a cold beer,...

Staff was all very friendly and accomodating. This was a work/pleasure trip and the wifi was absolutely horrible. I suppose it is tough to have wifi in this part of CB but then don't advertise as having it. I was dropped every 30 seconds, very very frustrating. Stayed in a 2 bedroom cottage, one bedroom had an ac unit and...
