Note to Hotel, let your guests know what youre doing, surprises are not cool.
The buffet seams to be lacking a bit from years past, same every day.
But still a great resort and spot. Recommended.

Travelled here for a week of sun and relaxation and was not disappointed. The resort is clean, staff friendly and food was enjoyable.
There were speciality restaurants as well as the usual buffet style. Because we went during the “off” season the specialty restaurants were...More
Even though they claimed spring breakers would be asked to leave, that was certainly not the case. Could not get into the seaside pool after 11am. And ongoing construction there was unbearable...asked to change rooms as ours was facing it. Dust and noise from 7am...More
The four of us stayed at the Riu Santa Fe from March 8th to the 15th. Even though we are in our 50’s we had an awesome time at this resort. The rooms we had 7283 and 7284 were perfect and as close to the...More
What an awesome getaway. This resort is pretty large and gives many options for enjoyment. There are three pools, two of the pools have swim up bars. Plenty daily activities around the pool including poolside BarBQ and even a Foam party. Every evening there was...More

We were in Building 7 - facing the outside toward the construction. Regardless of building, if you can get a poolside room, looking towards the interior, then you won't have a problem with the construction. My frustration was that I paid more for an oceanview room, and get a room looking at the construction site. In the end I was refunded the amount I paid extra for the room, but we were not able to make any changes while we were there. I know construction is a part of progress; but I'm very surprised both the resort and Vacation Express seem to not care they are booking people's vacation rooms overlooking noise construction sites. To me the problem is easily remedied by discounting those rooms. We spent all day at the pools and restaurants; so the construction sites were only a problem at night; and they didn't hamper our sleeping. If given a discount for the terrible view; I would have been happy.
I just came from there last week and this resort advertises that springbreakers are not allowed at this resort yet it was full.I think its a nice family resort and the students disregard for others spoil it for the rest.
