The reception desk doe not reflect the quality of the rooms. First impression was "We're in very old Mexico." But the room is modern and comfortable. After traveling for an entire day, the bed was elegant. Room noises are very minimal. Attention of staff is very positive and they will do all they can to accommodate your requests. This is...

Stayed here for a single night on the way to Cabo. What a find!!! The hotel/inn was as charming as it could be--pool was lovely and the surrounding vegetation was wonderful. The hotel is larger than it appears with several lovely restaurants to eat, both inside and outside. The rooms, while they were not fancy, were spotless. The employees were...

This small hotel typified what San Jose is--friendly people, quaint and clean. I was here 20 years ago for a meal, and have had friends who have stayed here over the years and just raved about it. When my reservation for a beach-front all-inclusive fell apart shortly before departure and the hotel indicated it could not accommodate us on our...

Fun well layed out little hotel - we paid a few dollars more and stayed in the Trohe House which is a private little cottage right next to the pool - it was awesome - pool area was clean and fun - no swim up bar as it looked like it was still being repaired from the hurricane - WIFI...

We stayed two nights at the Tropicana our first night on an eight day trip up the road to Todos Santos and likewise the night before our flight out of Cabo at the conclusion of our vacation. This nice hotel must be about 35 years old and is built around a court yard and lovely pool. The rooms are clean...

Baja Mexico is recovering well from the hurricane. They are working very hard to bring back tourism. This little hotel is a gem, friendly and clean. They had a mariachi band in the cantina, very nice. The only draw back was since we had our children with us, (not considered children if the are over 10, if I understood them...

This is a great place to stay, nice quiet pool. We have stayed here many times. The Tropicana is in the heart of town so close to the great shopping and restaurants. Try to take in the Thursday nigh Art Walk, its great fun

Just spent 10 days at the Tropicana Inn in San Jose del Cabo. We have stayed here several times over the years but have not been back in 7 years. Everything was the same as I remembered. Staff are still friendly (mostly the same staff as well) Front desk girl was awesome. They have really cleaned up well since the...

Our large group was well taken care of. I had the most fun here because we happened to be here the night they have an art walk (second Thursday?), and then, the hotel restaurant had a one hour flamenco performance, which was dang good. However prices were higher than La Paz and I don't think I'd find much else to...

I stayed post-Odile and Vance. Yes, there was some damage: trees mangled and tiles missing and I'm sure some flooding that was immediately dealt with. BUT the management, the rooms and the service are still top-notch! They have broken records to get back to their previous form and it's evident. You can never go wrong staying here. It's a well-kept...
