We recently stayed here July 20-24, 2021 with my wife and two daughters. We paid for the Reserve upgrade. First off, there isn't a VIP area for Reserve guests to check in. Once you check in they virtually tell you nothing at all. You have to book your own covid antigen test through a QR code. We checked in and the front desk told us nothing about restaurant reservations, cabana reservations or any activities or shows. I didn't know anything until I went up to the the one, count that 1, damn Reserve bar to ask. Then they were like you shoulda known...Service for the price we paid, and we stayed in the swim up suite is severely lacking to say the least. Why does a Reserve guest have to ask like 3-4 people to get information? Our concierge Armando was great once we got a hold of him. Oh yeah...no one said who or when the Reserve concierge was going to reach out to us. If I hadn't asked about reservations for dinner my family would have gone hungry. Forget about showing up without a reservation, they won't take you in even if you are a Reserve guest. Service at La Palapa restaurant is like at McDonald's. I asked for a to go cup of yogurt for my kids and they flat out refused and said no. This place sucks. I don't know how you can stand to pay the prices they demand yet receive the crap service they put out. And when you complain to the Reserve office they seem to not give a crap. Not to mention the food here is horrendous. Unless you want to eat hamburgers for 7 days in a row..there's virtually nothing to eat. I mean the best thing we had here was some pasta at the Italian restaurant. But come on...I didn't fly to Mexico to eat Olive Garden. The rooms are small and not even up the standard of a Las Vegas hotel. Overall I won't be coming back to Paradisus Los Cabos. And I recommend you find another resort because this place really needs to retrain their staff on service.

Hotel's Favourite
Just finished a fantastic 6-day stay at Paradisus Los Cabos. It's a stunningly beautiful resort, very contemporary decor. Large, beautiful pool with a swim-up bar and wonderful staff serving drinks and food. The activities director by the pool, Jose, was fantastic and led super fun water aerobics, movie and music trivia. So fun to break up the day while lounging in the cabanas. The entire staff - from the front desk, to the concierge, to the bellmen, to the wait staff, to housekeeping - was so friendly and helpful and attentive. Special shout-out to Hector in the Palapa restaurant, but everyone was wonderful. Highly recommend doing professional photos with your family or group. Ricardo did an AMAZING job with our two family groups and we have such stunning photos to remember the trip by. There's no charge for the session, and you can buy digital copies of however many you want for a reasonable fee. Several of us had incredible massages at the beautiful spa on premises. It's a gorgeous space, with sauna, steam room, a lovely small pool to relax in before or after your massage. Definitely a highlight of our stay. My sister and I did a functional training class one morning in a beautiful space near the pool that we enjoyed very much. They offer different fitness classes each day, and there's a gym on site. There was some type of entertainment each night that we really enjoyed. The Covid testing process for our return back to the U.S. was seamless. You get an appointment email on arrival, and two days before you leave the wonderful medical staff does your test in a beautiful lounge area on site, and results were delivered that evening. They made the process as easy and painless as possible. No buffets due to Covid but we enjoyed the food. Five restaurants to choose from, and room service was quick; room service staff really pleasant. We loved ours stay here and would definitely return. Highly recommend!!

I have stayed at this property with my family three times. Before our most recent stay we were there in 2019 a few months before Covid hit. We just returned from a 6 day stay so I thought I would provide a review on how things are now. The Pro's: The property seems less crowded Staff are wearing masks. They require hand sanitizing before entering the restaurants They take your Temp before entering the property The food is good The Con's: Service seems slower than in the past A few restaurants are closed (Steak house, Japanese, etc. You need to have your phone all the time because that is the only way to see the menus They don't have the kids kit (Soaps, toothpaste, shampoos, etc.) Never checked or refilled our mini-bar All the toiletries are in big bottles attached to the walls (Shampoo, conditioner, bath gel) So the hotel is pretty much the same as it was in the past. The pool is open and they have a nice sheltered beach that you can swim in. Our room was clean with a "Sanitized" tag on the front door when we arrived and tags on several things inside the room (Closet, phone, remote for the TV, etc.). The room it self was pretty clean but the tops of cabinets had a good layer of dust. The coffee machine also ran pretty dirty when just running hot water. There are a few different things from in the past, the concierge check-in room is now a Covid testing room so all check-ins are done at the front desk. Not a big deal but missed the goodies and cold beverages. All the restaurants are al-a-carte with no buffets, also the menu's seem to be more limited than in the past. Mole is still, in my families opinion, the best place to eat, but Gabi also had some great choices. There is also the American restaurant, Naos and an Italian option. Room service is also an option, 45 minutes for delivery after ordering and a note saying that there is a $5 US charge per delivery. Interestingly we ordered room service a few times but when we checked out we were not charged. I think the biggest thing that stuck out to me was that the service was pretty slow, both in the restaurants and at the pool. It was hard to get anyone to take an order at the pool then it took a while before they came back with drinks. At one point it took an hour between wanting to order and getting our drinks. Same issue in the restaurants, not every time but many times it took a while to taken an order and after the drinks it would be a while before we could order food. I am guessing they are understaffed. On the bright side the quality of the food was good with some dishes that stood out. The limited variety wasn't a big issue though if we had stayed much linger I could see it being an issue. If you have kids, you should know that the Kids Zone is closed. This was a disappointment to us, but they do have activities for kids and adults during the day around the pool and in other parts of the property. It seemed like there was something every evening from fire dancers to a Queen tribute band. Overall I still recommend this property but I think people need to step down their expectations a notch if they stayed there before. I hope it comes back to where it was on our first stay. One word of warning not related to the property. When we left the Airport was crazy, it took a while to use the check in kiosks and then wait in line to check bags. They also checked all of us for Covid negative tests (we took at the hotel). We were also asked three time to show that we had filled out the online questionnaire. Make sure you do that before you get to the hotel and you will need to fill out a paper for for each traveler saying you tested negative to Coved and you need to shoe the test results so have them ready. It took much much longer getting through check in and to the gate than it has in the past. Be ready for that and give yourself extra time.

Jose, Cesar, and Jonathan are all amazing. They are apart of the event team and they put on activities throughout the day. They are very outgoing and make everybody feel welcomed and at home. Special shout out to CESAR. He is new here but goes out of his way to get to know people. And apologies to Jonathan for making him in Ping Pong :). Jose, he has lots of energy and put on a good aerobic show. They are all great. As for the resort, only positive things to say. High end. Clean. Good service. We will come back.
