I had a disappointing experience at this promising place. I appear to be the exception and not the rule based on reviews here. Apparently things have changed since the last reviewer stayed. I have resolved the issues with the owners satisfactorily. I will give an honest and fair review of my experience. Pros: 1. Ambiance, it is out of the...

Dear Shanya, It is so disappointing to hear all of these unfair comments about us. We were very CLEAR with you regarding the unavailability of some areas of the Inn, such as the pool, because of the HURRICANE SEASON. The very first moment you came, we offered you our best accommodation to balance the situation. Since hurricane ODILE, we understand...

The unique and perfect retreat for a quick, budget-friendly de-stresser in Los Cabos. If you are like me and want to experience the place for the place, and not so much for the wealthy socal tourists looking to buy a slice of uppity San Diego Sur, then you will appreciate the rugged, deserted expanse of East Cabo that beckons from...

My husband and I went to Palapas for a quick 3 day vacation and it was everything we hoped it would be. Palapas is off the beaten path which is what we wanted, it was quiet, relaxing, and beautiful. John was out of town but Patty was there and she was a great hostess, very friendly, and gave us great...

Awesome place, exceeded our expectations every day. Within easy walking distance (35 minutes) to San Jose City Centre. 150 yards from ocean on a beach that you can walk for miles. Off the beaten track from typical tourist haunts but 5 minutes from very popular local restaurants/bars and smaller ma/pa type grocery stores. City bus stops right at front door...

My wife and I just spent 10 days over the Christmas season wth John & Patty ( and Baby J) and it was great! We have been coming to BCS for 10 years and our property in SJD was not available due to hurricane damage. Finding Palapas and the wonderful hospitaility that John & Patty provided was a gem. Our...

My husband and I stayed in a cabana and loved it. It was great to chill in this little fishing town, and to have our own little stress-free home--complete with a lovely outdoor kitchen we were welcome to use, a ping-pong table, and hammocks. We walked to the beach every day, swam, fished, and loved it. John let us freeze...

I loved being surrounded by all the colorful décor and beautiful plants. The swimming pool is really refreshing on a sunny day and has a great view looking towards the beach. John and Patty were really great hosts and know how to make their guests feel comfortable.

I think Palapas is the best place to stay in Los Cabos. The plants make you feel like you’re in a paradise jungle, and the pool water is very clean. I usually turn my nose up at most pools, but after John explained to me that he uses the water out of the pool to water his plants …and that...

I had the privilege of staying at this wonderful place, it really has everything you need to make your stay unforgettable; beach is five minutes away by walking, a lot of good restaurants around, and the hospitality of the owner. He is very helpful and friendly. The place is really comfortable and nice, I can't wait to repeat the experience!!!!

Our stay at Palapas Resort was the perfect antidote to stress. A bit off the beaten path. We stayed in the Casa Mango which was nice for a family and had 180 degree windows that opened up to tropical breezes. John was a good host! He provided just enough help but also respected privacy and let us enjoy the grounds...
